How To Bhop For Begginers (Basic Guide)

Overview

Hello My name is “The Pro Hobo” and I would like to teach you how to bhop with the basic Console commands and binds. (Also teaches to Prespeed!)Hope you enjoy!

Binds!

Bind Mwheeldown +jump – Allows Jumping when scrolling dowwn with mousewheel

Bind Mwheelup +jump – Allows Jumping when scrolling up with mousewheel

(For this next bind disconnect from a server and make sure you are at the main menu!!)
Fps_Max 30.98 is the one I find to use the most (Yes, it will lag for a min or two but it will start “un-lagging”) – Allows people to bhop easier (Also note When you do this do it everytime you load up C:SS or Gmod.

Bind (key) +left (or right) – Allows you to do perfect circles and if used with prespeeding is the most common way to gain speed when bhopping (I use mouse2 for it)

How to Bhop!

To Bhop you will want to use the following keys: WASD and a mouse with a scrollwheel

You want to Strafe left to right while using the scrollwheel to jump (I usually scrolldown)

To Strafe Left look left with mouse, Jump and hold a

Quickly after left Switch to right

To Strafe Right look right with mouse, Jump and hold D

Keep Doing this in a pattern and you will get it eventually

Prespeeding!

Now that you know how to bhop (semi) You probably are wondering how to prespeed to gain more speed

Ok so what you want to do is get a head start and just for a bit press W then let go of W hold A and hold your +left(or right) bind and then jump when you hit the ground but make sure not to double step (jump before you hit the ground like right before to prevent) and once you got enough speed let go and start bhopping 😀

Basic movements

Stafing is when you move side to side making an arc form, of course you can’t see that unless you have a trail or are in a different perspective. It is easy to just look one direction and continuously perss A and D, but to get your real speed you want to strafe by looking in the direction of the movements.

Flicking is when you move your mouse in a direction fast. This is usually to gain height or avoid objects at a moments notice. Note that this will make you lose speed, unless you use my technique which is all too confusing and I don’t even understand it. But that’s besides the point.

(P.S Yes I know this is in Garry’s Mod but same concept plus they are identical in bhopping) Thanks to Generic Letuce!
