How to Bloom POSTAL 2 World(use EnbSeries)

What’s Enb Series?

ENBSeries[enbdev.com] is a graphic MOD not only for POSTAL 2 but for almost PC games.

What is it
ENBSeries is the project of graphic modifications for games. The main idea is to allow every gamer to configure how game looks like for their own taste, so every player could share settings with others. Many games may look much better and ENBSeries is the easiest way to improve them.
If there is no ENBSeries version for game you wish to modify, just try several avalable, may be one of them will work.

ENBSeries for other games supplies many effect and graphic settings according to games one by one,but EnbSeries for POSTAL 2 isn’t exist.
So we can use “ENBSeries v0.005 DX8 beta”.
The reason why I don’t use latest version is POSTAL 2 uses DirectX 8 not 9 and higher.That’s makes a little confusing.
We can only use BLOOM effect on that for POSTAL 2.
But Paradise city will be calm and glowed full of light.

Install ENBSeries

Download and unpack ENBSeries v0.005 DX8 beta[enbdev.com].
You can find d3d8.dll,enbseries.ini,key_codes.txt,license_en.txt,readme_en.txt.
Move or copy these files to POSTAL 2system Folder.(Other files are not required)
Default Path on Windows Vista / 7 / 8(.1) like this:
C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonPOSTAL2CompleteSystem
Check the installation success.Launch POSTAL 2 and you can find green letters at the upper left.

If not,please re-check your installation.

Setting

If you play the game after install ENBSeries,you find the game have very much bloom.

So let’s setting bloom effect and other.
If my guide not useful you can see “readme_en.txt” or here[enbdev.com]

Open “enbseries.ini” in text editor like notepad(widows built-in) or any others.
Shown up like this

[GLOBAL] UseEffect=0

This is setting for use effect when startup games.”0″ is disable and “1” is enable.
You can toggle effect during play the game.Default key is “SHIFT+F12”.

[EFFECT] EnableBloom=1 EnableOcclusion=1 EnableReflection=1 EnableMotionBlur=1 EnableWater=1 EnableShadow=1

These are settings for enable each effect.”0″ is disable and “1” is enable.
I checked,but only Bloom effect is available on POSTAL 2. So check after “EnableBloom=” is “1”

Here is my settings for my display.
Map not to be white-out,barely readable. Metallic like Police officer’s badge and belt are softy radiation.Light are same.Soft-focused.
(But my eyes haze after playing,maybe too much effect for mine)

This is Bloom fade time.This is maybe ms.”30″ is good,I think.

These are not effected on POSTAL 2,I think.

Now play / key and binding

Default key for Enable Effect is Shift+F12.

if you want to chage key you find these on “enbseries.ini”
