Overview
There’s nothing to see here…..
Hello
When using this method, you DON’T GET BLOCKED achievements!
You probably thought this was another prank, but no, you were wrong.
I found it when I freaked out, stuck in textures on hardcore.
The original language of the manual is Russian, and I am not a professional translator… well you understand
So how do I change the game mode?
To start, save and exit the game
Next, open the Steam library, and Right-click on Subnautica-Properties-Local Files-Overview
We will open the folder Subnautica, there we find the folder SNAppData, open it, then the folder savedgames, and finally slot00##
There are several slots!? How do I determine which slot?
In the slot00## folder, open the screenshot.jpg file
There will be shown the last moment of the game
And so find the one you need
And there is the file gameinfo.json open it with a text editor.
Here we find the “gamemode” parameter and change it
0-Survival (“gamemode”: 0)
1-Free Mode (“gamemode”:1)
2-Hardcore (“gamemode”:2)
3-Creative (“gamemode”: 3)
Save the file, done!
Additional parameters
that you can also change (true/false)
Creative with achievements?! o_O
Yes. Almost …
Create a world on survival, save and exit the game.
We change it to a creative, go in, perform an achievement (for example, build a Cyclops), save it, and exit.
Change to survival, go and … – achievement received!
