Overview
I love this game but I hate mining the dragons and I especially hate the gold dragon. Do you hate the gold dragon too? Having trouble with Elena’s challenge? Well you’re in the right place!
Summary
This guide is split up into sections, one per long-ish obstacle. I don’t cover the parts in between (also wind obstacles since those were ez) but if you want to see the full run you can watch the video. Each section has a gif + some comments on how to cheese it where possible.
1. You can shortcut your way onto Tier 1.5 platforms by dashing in mid-air. (see below)
2. You can mine rocks out of order.
3. Not all platforms are needed.
4. It’s better to dash first and jump second because you risk overshooting the target if you dash too late.
5. Dragon head-stones need very little strength to mine.
6. All gold-stones need only moderate strength to mine.
7. If you fail Elena’s task (while you have it), you can retry it immediately because on the map the dragon alternates between two neighboring locations. So, if you mess up just sail a smidgen south/north and retry.

These are the ones that are just tall enough that you can’t technically jump onto them from in the water. I named em Tier 1.5 because they’re too tall to be tier 1 (aka entry height) but don’t require a full double-jump to reach from tier 1 height.
I say technically because you can’t reach them with a standard double jump, but… you can cheat by dashing onto the platform from a double-jump. :p
Round 1 (Moderate)
I try to do runs the proper way before resorting to cheesing, so I didn’t cheese this one but you could if you wanted.
To cheese: double-jump-dash directly onto the ore platform.
Round 2 (Very Hard)
To cheese: Double jump-dash directly onto either the ore platform (if possible) or the moving platform before it.

Round 3 (Moderate)
To cheese: the far platform (the one directly left of the ore) cycles through tier 1.5 so you can wait for it to reach that height, dash onto it, and then hop over to the ore easily.

Also note that that platform is not even necessary to land on (which I didn’t).
Round 4 (Insane)
How you’re supposed to do the run:
Before hump 1 appears, jump-dash such that you land on hump 1 as it appears.
Wait the minimum amount for Everlight cooldown to be ready when as you do your next dash mid-air towards hump 2.
Jump-dash onto hump 2.
Wait the minimum amount for Everlight cooldown to be ready when as you do your next dash mid-air towards hump 3.
Jump-dash onto hump 3.
If you start too late, the humps will sink before your cooldown is ready. However if you jump too early, your cooldown won’t be ready either and you won’t be high enough to reach the next platform.
But are we gonna do all that?
ABSOLUTELY NO FRICKIN WAY WE AIN’T
Part 1:
Swim (or jump-swim) all the way left, past the ore.
Part 2:
Enter wind geyser meant for the next obstacle.
Ride it as far as you can back, then dash once and glide down to the ores.

Round 5 (Moderate)
The hardest thing about this one is you can’t see your landing spot to gauge the jump initially.
well, spoiler alert it’s a jump and a dash away.
If you’re struggling, don’t forget to hold glide until you’re sure you’ll land on the dragon.
Round 6 (Very Hard)
How it’s supposed to be done:
Jump onto the shorter near platform
Jump onto the taller near platform
Jump-dash-glide to the ore.
But if you’re impatient or fail that part like me, just circumvent the whole thing and double-jump-dash onto the ore. :^)
Round 7 (Moderate)
Just jump as far right as you can and then dash and don’t hold back.
If for some reason you miss, it looks like you can double-jump-dash onto the platform to the right of the ore, but I haven’t tested.
Round 8 (Hard)
I always forget that you can’t double-jump-dash onto this one. But that’s easily solved because you can just jump onto the platform on the left and non-cheese dash over.
