• Introduction: Why the guide and why this way?
Wolfenstein TNO uses id Tech 5 engine, such as Rage. The problem is, however, that configuration via Config.cfg makes little sense, and even using the console manually, it does not generally succeed.
The problem is that the dev’s have blocked commands in two different ways.
You can see this when you get warnings back after entering:
Game is in GameMode or value is archived! ….
Can not be set in retail! ….
Some values could only be changed with the “CVarAdd” trick while “CVar” is locked.
The game itself also uses the “graphicsprofiles.json” file to bring changes from the in-game menu into the game. We can do that too!
What You need absolutely!
Somewhere I read that there should be an FPS boost with FOV 100 and fewer graphics reloads.
And because it is a good FOV too:
