How to CRUSH Mana Spark With the Xbow Guard

Overview

This guide will tell you how to easily beat the game using the xbow guard. Guide will cover:StrengthsWeaknessesBest Items/BuffsStrategy

Overview

Jasika, the Xbow Guard is in my opinion the best character in the game. From her movement speed to her damage output, she is by far the most viable character in most situations.

Strengths

Jasika has the most movement speed out of every character, because she is able to do 3 dashes as close together as you want, provided they have recharged. There is no movement lag right after the dodges like there is with the archer, meaning you can instantly react to something else as you dodge.

Jasika has the highest base attack speed out of any of the characters, so with the right build you can afford to miss some shots.

Weaknesses

The Xbow Guard has a few weaknesses.
1. Since she is not immune to damage while she is dashing, letting yourself get cornered can result in an untimely death. Prevent this by making sure you have room to move when you are retreating.

2. The armored skeleton:
This guy is like any other skeleton, except his shield will reflect your shots, and since a spam-arrow build is the best for Jasika, these guys can be a problem. Thankfully, the sharp feather upgrade completely negates the armored skeletons ability

3. Necromancers:
The necromancer’s ranged ability does 2 full hearts of damage, so be very aware of when they are shooting. The sticky web or freeze bomb works very well against them.

Best Buffs

Below is a list of all of the best buffs you can get for Jasika

Twin Leaf:
The Twin Leaf adds an extra arrow to your shots, and also increases the chance of finding another one.

Thief’s Dagger:
The Thief’s Dagger makes you deal double damage when you are close to an enemy.

Big Sip of Coffee:
This item increases your attack speed by a lot and slightly decreases your damage. All of the buffs that increase your attack speed seem to multiply with eachother.

Boots of Haste:
The Boots of Haste increase your attack speed and movement speed, making them one of the best items in the game.

Sharp Feather:
The sharp arrow decreases your maximum health by 1 heart, but also makes your projectiles pierce, completely negating the armored skeletons ability.

Spider Touch:
The Spider Touch slows enemies when you hit them.

Right Glove:
The Right Glove increases your attack speed.

BEWARE, THIS BUFF IS A SCAM:

It says it only makes your attack speed go down a little bit, but since the attack speed buffs multiply, it is terrible.

edit: it has apparently been patched to be less punishing, but it still cuts your attack speed in half making it not worth it at all in my opinion if you have any items that activate on hit.

As for the Wolfsbane Flower, it is a very good item, as it poisons everyone you hit, so combined with the sharp feather it can increase your dps by a ton. Unfortunately, it makes every arrow generate particles, making it so if you have the maximum attack speed it can lag your game.

Best Items

There are a few items that work really well with the xbow, and I will list them here:

The Freeze bomb

When it is at its maximum level, it freezes enemies in a small area for 9 whole seconds, making every boss and miniboss a complete pushover. This is in my opinion the best item. Be careful though, as you can freeze yourself with this.

The Bear Trap

When it is at its maximum level, you can have 2 out at the same time, and it damages and slows enemies when they step on it. The reason it is so good is because it instantly kills many troublesome enemies.

The Sticky Web

When it is at its maximum level, it slows down enemies and poisons them. It also has a very low cooldown.

Strategy

The Strategy for Jasika is fairly simple. Utilize your dashes while attempting to maintain high dps without getting cornered. Make sure to use your item as much as you can. A single sticky web can halt entire hordes of enemies in their tracks, a single bear trap can prevent you from taking damage, a single freeze bomb can instantly disable a necromancer. You can throw the bear trap directly onto an enemy instead of having them walk into it.

BOSS STRATEGY

The bear trap is useless against bosses, so my only advice is to not get hit.

For the sticky web, try and place it under the boss so that they take damage from it the entire fight.

The freeze bomb is incredibly powerful against bosses, often 9 seconds of uninterrupted damage is all you need to finish them off. To put in perspective how insane this item is, I have used it to defeat the second boss in 2 seconds, and the final boss in about 6.

Buff Strategy

Damage and attack speed are more important than health for Jasika, so whenever you gain more max health, you should sacrifice it for more damage by getting things like the judgement nail or the sharp feather, that decrease your max health but heavily increase your dps. You may want to consider not going below 3 hearts, as some attack deal 2 whole hearts, meaning you can be insta-killed.

How to get the highest possible attack speed:
Have a food equipped that buffs your attack speed
Have the boots of haste
Have the right glove
Have the big sip of coffee

Combining this with 2 twin leafs and the charged dart will make you completely unstoppable.

REGARDING THE NEW UPDATE:
DO NOT BUY THE SKILL FOR THE XBOW
THE PETRIFYING EFFECT MAKES THINGS AWAKEN FROM BEING FROZEN AND WILL SEVERELY IMPACT YOUR ABILITY TO KILL BOSSES FAST
