Robocraft Guide

how to deal with the bots that everybody uses for Robocraft

how to deal with the bots that everybody uses

Overview

there are bots weve seen a million times. regardless of how singleminded they can be, they can get to us. this is just a few tips how to take them out.

what did i count as an overused bot in this guide?

this is a simple process. overused bots in a tier are likely caused by

a. overtiers (the dumbest strategy of all)
b. components being unlocked in that tier being spammed.

easy enough? lets begin

note: i assume you are only using on tier weapons for all of this guide.

t1: gun chairs, plasma carts

gun chairs:
description:1 helium block, 1 t4 railgun 1 pilot seat
threat level: ll———l
thought process of enemy:duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh.
how to defeat

smg’s: tapfire, this is good training ground for an important technique. shoot once or twice at it, let the reticle slide back down, do it again.

plasma:hippocrite

rails:hippocrite

plasma carts
description: a small t1 platform with t1 wheels (this will come back up again) equiped with a t3 plasma.
threat level l—–l——l (if you dont see these guys, they may get lucky)
thought process: ERMAGHERD PLASMA 1 HIT KILL (provided you built a tank and not a cart, it isnt a 1 hit kill.
how to defeat:
smgs: strafe around their shots, and take out their gun.
plasma:hippocrite
rails:hippocrite

t2: hovers and previous

hovers
desciption. likely 4 hovers, smgs, hovers exposed
threat level l–l——l
thought process:look how unique i am! (nope)
how to destroy
smg’s: shoot 1-2 of their hovers, they will be come very unbalanced and expose their pilot seat
plasma:hippocrite
rails:hippocrite

(ps. you will run into the same guys from t1 again)

t3:plasma tanks, medic carts, real satiliettes

plasma tanks
description: 2/4 tank treads, 2-4 plasma
threat level l—–l—l (most durable foes yet)
thought process: ALL OF THE NEW THINGS
how to defeat:
smg’s: take out their guns first, if you go for the treads you will take a ton of damage
plasma:find suitable cover, and peek out, shoot, then retreat. repeat as necessary
rails:hippocrite

medic cart:
description: a cart equiped with 1 basic nanotech disruptor
origin/thought process: a nice guy who went to t3 to help people out
threat level l——-l–l (hardest enemy in this guide)
how to deal with

this is the first enemy where your team has to tag in. early medics will attract a following , and gladly do so, because they can take out one enemy at a time in disorganized t3 play. your best bet in general is to have a geneyus teammate with a rail have 50 iq and shoot the medic or a typical infantry unit charge in to give you space to shoot off the gun.

real satilietes
desc:8+ helium blocks, 1 rail, thrusters in all horizontal directions a few electroplates (t3) and a full radar setup
threat l—–l—–l (not too bad)
origin: t1 gun chairs who stepped it up
how to defeat:
smg’s: tapfire
plasmas: hope to be lucky, 1 shot is all you need
rails: hippocrite

t4: my first rail, my first plasma bomber, kamikaze karts

my first rail
description: a cart with updated armor and a few thrusters, with a rail elevated in the back.
threat level l-l——–l (super easy)
thought process: ermagerd 1 shot railzzzzz
how to defeat: the key to these guys is understanding where the obvious spots are, and moving in a way so that these spots cant see you (a). the other, lazy way is to understand that rails are inaccurate when moving(b). this may beat most early rail users outright, but the few who understand this might cripple you with a good shot.

smg’s:longrange tapfire, method a or b
plasma: method a or b
rails: method a
nanos(ill give you guys the benefit of the doubt): summon teammates, or method a

plasma bombers
description: 4 aerofoils, mid tier plasma, small thrusters.
threat l–l—–l(easy for now)
thought process: flyers op
how to defeat: learn this one well, and expect to do it often.

smg;s:tapfire
plasmas: you are out of luck here, but spotting (aim at enemy and q, will show their location to teammates) could alert a smart smg to take them down.
rails: wait for them to move to your cursor, and 1 shot will 99% cripple them, regardless of where it is.

kamikaze karts
description: a thruster cart with a tesla blade on it
threat level l—-l—-l (reaction time test)
thought process: trololololololol
how to defeat
everyone but rails just needs to shoot the tesla blade.
rails: ruuuuuuuuuuun!

t5: legit plasma bombers, miniature walkers

plasma bombers for real
origins: guys who had enough money going in to t5 to make a t5 plane.
threat: varies
plasma bombers can range from your worst nightmare to a free kill. those who wait for teammates to engage and swoop in to finish off runners are very tough, but those who hang low, and are the first to leave base get rected. the same aircraft protocol continues as previous.

mini walkers
description: 3 legs and a low tier rail.
threat l–l—–l (easy)
origin: guys who think they are sneaky but they are not
3 legged makeshift mannequins will walk around on walls and meaningless places and sneak in little bits of damage to tanks and giggle to themselves.

essentially the same thing as aircraft to deal with, but plasma has an easier time with these guys.

t6-t10

put on your big boy pants and figure it out!!!!!!!!!!!!
