Overview
In this guide, I’ll explain how to defeat Durrr as the Runaway. The Runaway is the weakest class in the game so I thought it was a good idea to create this guide to help those who are struggling.
Reach Level 15
This is essential, you need the best gear. And the best gear at level 15 is crafted level 15 gear from the blacksmith. Trust me, you need it. I was level 15 myself and I barely made it out.
Just farm Chicken Shack, Fatal Fantasy or Jimbo’s lair, anything works.
Use Blings to buy the best level 15 gear
Yes, it’s possible. And Since you have the Runaway, you should have a lot of blings. For this, you only need around 200 Blings to buy the best level 15 gear, I recommend Physical damage ring. You need to spend the Blings because all the equipment you need to buy with gold is too expensive and not worth your time at all to farm all of it.
Equipping skills and Potions
If you have level 3 brewery, great! You can craft a decent potion that will help you significantly in Durrr’s fight.
In skills, you need …
Rebel Yell, Siren’s stun, Headbang (optional, good for taking out enemies quickly, but at the cost of losing health) and Spin spin.
Now you’re ready.
Durrr’s Castle.
When you’re in Durrr’s Castle, your first enemy is Pete Poundmore in a room full of 2×2 shark teeth trap. You do not want to take ANY damage from this guy at all, just run around the traps and the traps will attack him for you.
In all other rooms, just try your best to avoid damage as much as possible, never use potions, save them. When you’re engaging a Smelly Warrior, lure him away from nearby enemies you will engage later, because other enemies can revive Smelly Warriors.
To take out enemies quickly, use Pyromaniac + Spin Spin, this will stun enemies and deal high damage to them.
Take your time to reach Durrr.
Durrr.
This is it. I hope you didn’t use any potions or take more than 30% damage.
The first fight is easy, don’t use any potions. Run around the room to avoid damage and wait for cooldown. Use the skill combo in the following steps
Rebel Yell ->Siren’s Stun -> Hit him 1-2 times with your weapon -> Spin Spin.
Rinse and repeat
Second fight, again, you must run around in circles to avoid damage as much as possible and to wait for each skill cooldowns, use one potion if necessary.
Rebel Yell ->Siren’s stun -> Hit him 1-2 times with your weapon -> Spin Spin.
Rinse and repeat
Third fight. Now this is tricky, and avoiding his damage is now just being lucky or out of reach. Use the combos again but this time you need to use all the potions if necessary.
Conclusion
I think the Runaway really needs a buff, or a slight buff at least…
I hope this helped and I hope you showed Durrr who’s the boss!
I apologize for the lack of pictures and videos, but I wanted this guide to be quick and simple, just like all my other guides for Killing Floor and PAYDAY 2 😛 I hope you read them too!
