Guide showing how to beat the final boss
Getting started
After beating the large arena, you’ll end up at a large path that leads you straight to a pyramid. Ugh Zan will appear near where you started the level. Your goal is to get to the pyramid without him stomping on you. Enemies will appear in order to prevent you from getting to the pyramid. Just make sure you don’t stay still for more than a minute, and Ugh Zan will never reach you.
When you get to the pyramid, you’ll find that the door is locked and weird noises are playing near it. Ugh-Zan will eventually reach the pyramid, but will not climb the slope to stomp on you. Instead, he will break out a laser gun and a fireball gun, then start shooting you. Use this time to chip off his health with cannonballs. Watch out for the enemies that’ll occasionally spawn at the base of the slope.
The final boss arena
After getting into the pyramid, you’ll be in an futuristic-themed arena. Near you are jump pads that lead to floating rings. There is a floating ring on each side of the arena. Soon, Ugh-Zan will climb over the wall and take out four guns. This is where things start getting difficult.

If you attempt to kill Ugh-Zan by just shooting him, you’ll see that he’ll regenerate when he’s down past 1/4th of his health. No matter what you do, he’ll always regenerate. Clearly, you need to do something else.
Taking out Ugh Zan
In order to defeat Ugh Zan, you need to hop on the jump pads and fall through each ring in the arena while hammering him with powerful attacks, such as cannonballs. After going through each ring, a light will start flashing on the panel above each ring to show you’ve gone through it. You need to go through every ring in order to kill him.
After you’ve gone through every ring, you need to lure him to the light in the center of the arena.

When he’s at the light, a laser beam will activate and start hurting him. While he’s hit with the laser, he’ll be stunned, so he can’t regenerate when his health is low. This is the perfect opportunity to hit him with cannonballs in order to do extra damage and finish him off.

Note that Ugh Zan can activate the laser before he gets close enough to actually be hurt by it. If that happens, you’ll have to go through the rings again.
Tips
I would recommend going clockwise from the jump pad that faces the left wall. This makes it so that you’ll face the light when going for the last ring, making it easier to lure him to the light.

While you’re going through the rings, constantly attack him with powerful weapons, like the Cannon. You need to get his health so that around 1/4th of it is left before activating the laser. If not, the laser won’t last long enough to kill him, even if you’re attacking him while he’s being hit with the laser.

Ugh Zan’s attacks
Ugh Zan has several attacks at his disposal. Here they are and how to counter them.
Laser Gun
Ugh Zan will fire a large burst of blue lasers from a green gun. These lasers cannot be destroyed. Dodging them is harder than it looks because, if you try and strafe them in one direction, the game will shoot lasers so that they intercept you while you’re strafing. Instead, you need to dodge them by constantly going between left and right.
Rocket launcher
Ugh Zan will fire three large rockets from a yellow gun. You can blow up the rockets in mid-air by shooting them.
Electric gun
Ugh Zan will fire a steam of electricity from a blue gun. This can be avoided by strafing in one direction.
Fireball gun
Ugh Zan will fire three or so fireballs at an arc. These fireballs can be destroyed by shooting them.
Homing fireballs
Occasionally, Ugh Zan will spew homing fireballs from his mouth. Destroy them before they hit you by shooting them.
Conclusion
Ugh-Zan isn’t nearly as hard as he looks. Once you kill him one or twice, defeating him should be easy.
