Overview
Have you forgotten your password for Half-Life’s Content Lock and can’t remember for the life of you?No third-party programs or installations are needed! You might even gain some new skills following this guide!Beware though, this only functions in the Steam release of HL!i have just now realised that this description is very cliche
Running Registry Editor
What you basically wanna do, is open something called Registry Editor. It’s a program that comes with EVERY version of Misrosoft Windows.
In Win10, it is opened by right-clicking the Start button and clicking Run.
(Excuse me for being a lazy ♥♥♥♥ and not setting my PC to English for this guide)
After a new window titled “Run” opens, you want to write “regedit” (without the quotation marks) into a command line in that window.
Congratulations, now you know how to open the Registry Editor!
Other things regarding the Registry Editor
I am not really educated on this matter.
So instead I will link to an article on a site I got this knowledge on.
You can also consult this article for more general info regarding the Registry Editor.

Finally the interesting stuff
So you’re in the Registry Editor. Now go to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Valve > Half-Life once you’re there, click Settings.
Right, so there should be a buch of entries. What you’re interested in is an entry titled “User Token 2”. Right-click this entry and click change or something like that. Delete the original code, and paste in this: Scrap that, just delete it, aaand you’re done.
That’s everything.
Really.
