Overview
I found really long and inconvenient Guides, this is the easiest way to fix the problem from GTA IV on Windows 8!
First and only Step
1.Go to C:/Programs Files x86/ Steam/ Steamapps/ Common/ Grand Theft Auto IV/ GTAIV (if you installed the game on your D: drive , go to the same folders as shown) .
2.Then look in there for GTAIV.EXE or just GTAIV.
3.Then right click it. Go to properties and select Compatibility. Click on Run in compatibility mode then select Windows 7.
4. Then reboot and start the game via Steam.
Additional
If you still have problems than please write it in the Comments. Personaly i didnt needed the fix for “Windows Live” but it could be that you need it…
