How to embrace pluralism as Austria in Kaiserreich

Overview

A guide encompassing what one must do to embrace pluralism as Austria in Kaiserreich.

Intro

As many of you have noticed several recent changes have been made to Austria. Going Social Conservative and the Ausgleich path to get Embracing pluralism have changed completely. Here I will detail the path required to embrace pluralism as Austria.

Going Social Conservative

Out of the two paths possible under the pluralist tree, the Social Conservative path is arguably the better of the two and naturally that’s the one you’d wnat to aim for. To do this you’re going to elect the Social Conservative party.

Soon after you receive the Black monday event you should get the Austrian elections of 1936.

This event will make two new decisions avaible in the decisions section. You’re going to want to go ahead and endorse the Christlichsoziale.

This will increase the popularity of the Social Conservative party by .05% per day. It may not seem like much, but ever percentage counts.

Then you’ll receive this event. The first option will increase the popularity of Social Democrats by 7% and the second option will increase the populariy of Social conservatives by 2%. Since you’re going to want the Social Conservatives to have as low a popularity as possible choose the second option.

LEAVE THIS EVENT BE. DO NOT CHOOSE AN OPTION FOR THIS UNTIL THE ELECTION FIRES
There’s a 20% chance of the hunt going badly. If that happns then the popularity of Social Conservatives will decrease by 15%. If this happens then the Social Conservatives will not be able to win the elections. It is imperative that you do no click this event until the elections have passed.

The election event will fire and if you did everything correctly then the Social Conservatives should come out victorious. Now you can go ahead and choose the “If he wants” option on the Hunt event.

Sidenote:
If you recieve any “Our popularity has increased” events make sure to accept the extra 3% popularity for -25pp.

The Ausgleich

Now here comes the fun part. The Ausgleich. In order to do the “Embrace Pluralism” focus the flag AUS_a_new_hungary needs to be active. What that means that you need have gone to war with an have puppeted Hungary. The aim of the Ausgleich path will simply be to screw over Hungary as much as possible until they’re provoked to war with you.

For the first event you’re going to want to go ahead and invite all peoples of the Dual Monarchy

All of your puppets should willfully attend the congress. Just go ahead and just accept all of these events.

Looks like hungary doesn’t seem too happy about all these other delgations. So far so good.

This is where the fun begins

Seems like the Hungarians were under the impression that they would have a voice in the Ausgleich. Amusing. Go ahead and remove him from the negotiations.

Choose the third option to remind the Hungarians that you have so graciously allowed them to pay less taxes. They should be thankful.

The geniuses from the Czech and Slovak delagation have come up with the genius idea of the creation of a Slovak state. Choose the second option

Doesn’t seem like the Hungarians were a big fan of the proposition and decided to leave ;(

There’s only one option here so go ahead and accept it.

Seeing as how such good allies the llyrians have been to the Austrians and that Franz Ferdiand fellow go ahead and chooseh the second option. They deserve it.

Go ahead and grant the Romanians all of Transylvania. Do the Hungarians really need all that land?

And with that the Ausgleich has ended! Which could of course lead to nothing other than eternal peace.

War with Hungary

Speaking of eternal peace. War! After about 12~ days you’ll receive this event.
Choose the first option. They don’t deserve those lands.

And in a shocking turn of event forseen by absolutely no one, it seems that the Hungarians have refused our ultimatum? Choose the first option. You should now be at war with Hungary. Defeat Hungary and fully annex them and wait for the next few events to fire. (Remember kids more events = more fun)

Mr. Habsburg… I don’t feel so good

Being the Benevolant Austrian monarchs that you are of course you’d want to go ahead and choose the first option to release Transylvania and Slovakia.

This one sometimes takes a while to fire but when you get it go ahead and choose the first option to release Hungary as a puppet. It’s better this way.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM Look at that. Now it wouldn’t be kaiserreich without a good bit of balkanisation and border gore now would it?

Now the Pluralism Tree should be unlocked. After the “Rethinking our Aministration” idea expires you will be able to do the integration focuses for Austria.
