Overview
Are you new and just happened to find The Escapists 2 on Steam? Want to experience the joy of escaping a prison? Or are you just like me who forgot everything about The Escapists 1? Well fear not! This guide has got you covered with a fast text tutorial on how to escape Center Perks 2.0/Rattlesnake Springs semi-risk-free and need-2-know tips that will help you break out in no time!
How 2 Escape Center Perks 2.0
To execute this escape properly, the Player must have the following items in their inventory:
1. Civilian Outfit:
The Civ Outfit can be found in desks on the 2nd floor north, where the camera crew hangs out.
2. Fake Recorder:
The Fake Audio Equipment is not found in desks however can be crafted using:
A Broom (from desks)
Duct Tape (from desks)
Radio Equipment (usually found w/ civ clothes)
50 Intellect (books)
3. Now, the rest of the plan actually pretty easy.
With the Fake Audio Equipment and Civilian outfit on hand (not equiped), make your way to the northeast corner of the map; where it seems like a lobby for the camera crew. At this time, you should be wearing the outfit and holding the Equipment. And, in the most anti-climatic way possible, confirm when you see Escape.

How 2 Escape Rattlesnake Springs
The second prison (excluding Glorious Regime and the escape mission) in the game. If you were paying attention in the intro, there is a good chance you heard the whole prison is built under a mineshaft. And that’ our ticket to freedom. Sure, there are multiple ways to do this however I believe this tactic is the easiest one. I will do solo then the multiplayer mode next.
1. This has to be sloppy but if you almost want to do this in one swoop, you just have to craft a multitool. I mentioned the recipe and materials in the tips.
2. So after being convinced to make the multitool, head to the small room which is attached to the lumber room job, which is also near the cafeteria.
3. Dig a hole in that room, what is so great about this is that the room is not watched by guards and you dont require a key.
4. Now connect your hole (lennyface) to the main shaft by making a tunnel which is I believe 6 tiles right and 2 tiles down.
5. Almost there! All you have to do is dig the 2 tiles thicc wall and head upwards. If you are lost, always bring up the minimap and head for the tunnel exit, which is about top right.
6. By now you probably escaped, if your multitool breaks somehow, don’t worry, there are pickaxes around the shaft for the taking.
MULTIPLAYER MODE
1. The instructions are almost the same thing, but this time, the team will get extra help.
2. North up job center room, there is a single building with a white door and a ladder down a gap. Have a buddy open the door for you and open it for him. 2 times.
3. When you go down the hole, you are greeted with another multiplayer gate and a desk filled with a sturdy pick and maybe medkits or adrenaline shot?
4. At this point, you got what you need, open the gate with you and your pal and start heading right until you are able to go up.

Tips 4 All
If you followed the steps above, you have just completed Meet The Crew (not tf2) !!!
This poorly made guide will be recieving some updates but being lazy is a physical/mental disability.
I completed this within two days since I wasn’t able to find the damn broom. Sure, you can do the classic ol’ fence cutting or digging but none is as effective as Meet The Crew.
Tips for newbies:
1. Sometimes most prisons can be accomplished by only raising intellect.
2. In CP2.0, you can also escape by cutting two fence tile only if you can survive fast enough, a Red key will help shorten the tiles needed to be cut.
3. If you see a green check next to the current event (dinner, showertime, excercise) then you are good to go! Now guards wont yell at you for jacking off.
4. Hold the attack key (default hold lmb) for a charged running attack, it does way more damage but you have to calculate how far and how to aim it. I think it might be 10 tiles.
5. Use lockers, if you accidentally punched a guard or another inmate and dont want a fight, jump right into a locker and hide.
6. This non-visual chart will help you figure out how to craft a Multitool, the best pick/shovel tool in the game. The multitool destroys a tile within 2 hits.
2 Files + 2 Timber = 2 Tool Handles
Tool Handle + DuctTape + Crowbar = Flimsy Pickaxe
Tool Handle + DuctTape + Metal Sheet = Flimsy Shovel
Flimsy Shovel + DuctTape + Metal Sheet = Lightweight Shovel
Flimsy Pickaxe + DuctTape + Timber = Lightweight Pickaxe
Lightweight Pickaxe + DuctTape + Timber = Sturdy Pickaxe
Lightweight Shovel + DuctTape + Metal Sheet = Sturdy Shovel
Sturdy Shovel + Sturdy Pickaxe + DuctTape = THE Multitool
So in short, you need:
4 Timber
7 DuctTapes
1 Crowbar
And 2 Metal Sheets
7. Duct Tape is basically the most used component in the game. Never, EVER, turn duct tape down.
8. If you are a cheapo like me, get your tools down to 5 percent and then craft something. For an example –
5% Sturdy Shovel + 10% Sturdy Pickaxe = 100% Multitool. LOGIC
9. Usually there is a payphone somewhere around the prison, if you can get to it, they offer great advice like crafting recipes and escape tips, for a fee.
10. My prefered fighting tactic is to punch the target while running by and turn back for an extra serving, if that makes no sense try imagining a fighter pilot swooping down with it’s machine gun or something like that.
