Overview
How to fix UHD zooming issues and some bugs until game is patched. You can currently play fine in borderless windowed but the in-game resolution is limited to 1080p so it will look blurry even though it says it’s running at your resolution
Fixing zoom
- Open up Nvidia Control Panel
- Click on “Adjust Desktop Size and Position”
- “Apply the following settings:” under the scaling tab
- No Scaling
- Perform scaling on: (GPU)
- [✔] “Override the scaling mode set by games and programs”
- Click “Apply”

For some people, changing the Windows Zoom has fixed the issue (For Windows 10)
- Right click and choose “Display settings”
- “Change the size of text, apps, and other items” to 100% or lower if needed

(This is the one that fixed the game for me)
- Navigate to where you installed the game. By default, it will be “steamsteamappscommonWolfenstein.II.The.New.Colossus”. Your drive location may vary, but the install path will be the same.
- Once there, locate the executable for the game.
- Right click on it and go to properties -> compatibility -> and select the option “Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:”
- Change it to “Application” and hit Ok.
Bugs & Fixes
- Turn off V-sync and A-sync compute
- Or change the V-sync settings In Nvidia Control Panel, go to:
- Manage 3D settings
- program settings
- Add wolfenstein
- Change ‘Virtual Sync’ to “Fast”
- Click ‘Apply’
For some users with 4K TV’s, changing their refresh rate to the exact rate of their screen has fixed the screen tearing issue
(Don’t know if this works for monitors)
- First, find out what the exact refresh rate of your screen is
- (For most TV’s, the actual refresh rate is slightly lower at something like 59.94Hz)
- Open Nvidia Control Panel and click on:
- Change Resolution –> Customize –> Create Custom Resolution… & check ‘Enable resolutions not exposed by the display’ –> change ‘Refresh Rate (Hz):’ to your screen’s actual refresh rate–> test –> click ‘yes’ after it changes –> make sure the custom resolution is checked and hit apply to change it
WIP
This is a work in progress, if you have anything that fixed the game for you that wasn’t listed in the Dev guide let me know and I’ll add it to my list
