How to fix mods that don't launch properly for STAR WARS™ Empire at War: Gold Pack

How to fix mods that don’t launch properly

Overview

This guide will teach you how to easily fix your mods not launching correctly and possibly remove the need for modpaths. If you try to launch a mod through the in-game menu, where it then restarts the game but doesn’t load the mod, this guide is for you.

Navigating to your workshop files

To start off, we need to go to Steam’s workshop folder, where all the mods for games are held.
This is located in your steamsteamappsworkshopcontent folder.

Select 32470 (this is EaW’s number on Steam)

Now we’ll move on to the next part.

Fixing the mods

In the 32470 folder are all the mods you’ve downloaded for EaW.

In each folder, the mod should be like this:

This next part is pretty simple. Search through every mod folder until you find a mod which does not have a Data folder.

Here is a mod which is not contained in a Data folder. To fix this, all we have to do is create an empty Data folder and move the loose files inside of it.

This is the mod put into a data folder. Now when you launch the mod through in-game, it should start like normal.

TL;DR & Conclusion

TL;DR:

Go into steamappsworkshopcontent32470 and make sure that all the mods are contained in a Data folder. If not, create a new one and put the mod files in the Data folder.

Conclusion:

Thank you for reading my guide, and I hope it helped. However, take note that I can’t guarantee this will fix your modpath issues, all I can say is that it did fix mine. But If this guide worked for you, please consider giving it a positive rating.
