Overview
Look, this is my first and probably only guide so don’t mind me. This is a short guide on how to fix npcs dying for no reason.
Step 1: Getting to the files
Right click on HL
Then open up properties
Step 2: Deleting Stuff
Click on browse local files. That should bring you here
Highlight these files.
Then right click and delete.
[Note: This is what I did. If anyone has a more accurate course of action, please tell me]
Just clear these files from your recycling bin and move on to step 3
Step 3: Verify
Now, you just deleted core files the game needs to run. This would be worrying if steam didn’t have the handy feature of verifying a game’s files. Go back to the properties window and click verify. It’s just below browse local files.
Once this happens, the game will begin verifying it’s files and will then reinstall the files you dumped. This should fix your problem as it fixed mine.
