How to friend almost ANY faction without cheats!

Overview

This is a guide that I had the idea of making today (3/11/2020), because I just randomly did it and found out it worked.Give it a try!

You Will Need:

To have unlocked Plate Armour Research
A high crafting level colonist / pawn
Ten times the amount of required resources to make Plate Armour with Gold
At least one neutral / slightly hostile faction within reasonable distance
An (electric / fueled) smithy

And a big enough brain.

Steps

1: Add a (Create Plate Armour) bill to the smithy.
2: Restrict the bill to only be worked on by your highest level crafter.
3: Set the material of the Armour to only be gold.
4: Make it repeat until you get a high quality product.
5: Wait until someone makes a high quality armour set.
6: Caravan at least 2 colonists with the armour to the neutral / slightly hostile settlement with the reason being “Give Gift” or “Trade”
7: When you get there and the trading menu appears, press the gift button in the bottom right and give them the Golden Plate Armour, pressing Accept.

And you’re done.

How does this work?

The price of an item in trading depends on the quality, material and type of item it is.
Gold is expensive.
Plate Armour is a well made armour type if made right.
The finished product is high quality.
Combining these three facts gives us High-Quality Golden Armour.

The Golden Armour is expensive due to the gold and the high quality creation.
It is also taking the form of Armour, which is also a bit pricey.

The faction you traded with isn’t happy with the gift because of the fact it’s armour or made of gold or high quality, It’s because it’s expensive.

Getting something expensive for free is nice because it saved you all the work for trying to buy it yourself.

This causes the faction to be quite excited to get something expensive for free, and will thank you by becoming your ally, helping you in battle and trading with you more often.

Thank you for reading my guide, and be happy with your new friends!
