*A simple guide to playing Fable III on PC. 0.) Make a folder titled: “FableIII_backup_files” (or whatever you want)1.) Buy Fable III from Amazon here:https://www.amazon.com/Fable-III-Online-Game-Code/dp/B00AR03O8I/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Fable+III&qid=1590314592&sr=8-12.) You will receive a code/DC Key for Fable III from Amazon. Type in the code/cd-key into Steam. To do this, Click “Library” at the top of your Steam page. Click “Add game”, then “Activate a Product on Steam”, type in your code3.) Fable III is now bound to your Steam account. Download the game! a.) When finished downloading. Run the game once. It’ll generate a needed directory. If it crashes or does not run, this is normal! Exit or Control+Alt+Delete – End Program – to shut it down 4. Next, Download the DLC’s:http://download.xbox.com/content/4d53090a/4d53090a0ecf0000.cab – understone (245 MB)http://download.xbox.com/content/4d53090a/4d53090a0ecf000e.cab – Traitor’s Keep (978 MB)http://download.xbox.com/content/4d53090a/4d53090a0ecf0010.cab – Inquisitor Pack 5.) Make a new folder in your install directory (same place as main exe) named: DLC6.) Inside the DLC folder, make 3 folders. Name each of the folders for each of the DLC:Name folder 1: 01_UnderstoneName folder 2: 02_TraitorsKeepThen name Folder 3: 03_InquisitorsPack a.) Next, extract the DLC’s you just downloaded, matching folders. Do not leave the Zip file in the folders. Store them for backup into your Fable_III_backup folder so you don’t loose them7.) Go into the main folder to the game. Find and Delete the xlive.dll file a.) Next, Download and extract the following replacement into the folder Main game folder (where the main .exe is): https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B3EGG_o4UzQOeHJycFc2WHk4T00/view?usp=sharing b.) Now, once these files extracted, locate and open the “xlive.ini”. Click/open the file. Find and change/edit “Player One” to whatever you want. Do not edit anything else8.) In the same “xlive.ini” file, under profile name, will be “profile xuid 1”. Make sure the number listed after that is the same as your save folders name which should be located in “C:Users(yourusername)Saved GamesLionhead StudiosFable 3”. If it isn’t, edit the name of the folder so they match. If you don’t have the folder, make it. Name the folder the same numbers that are seen in the profile xuid 1 section of the xlive.ini9.) Finally, go into the main folder of the game. Right-click “FableLauncher.exe” and create a shortcut to your desktop. Once finished, Click that FableLauncher to start the game. Only use this .exe to launch the game. Don’t launch the game from your Steam list or from Steam!
