How to get Motion Blur Effect using the Ingame Screenshot Render Engine

Overview

In this guide I am going to show you how to get awesome effects with the ingame screenshot render engine

Step 1

At first, you have to load a replay with the advanced editor.
If you are in the editor, move the player marking to the time you want. After that, click the red bar where the player marking is going through. Now you can move the camera. Arrow keys is the view, mouse wheel the angle, Ctrl+mouse wheel titls the cam.

Step 2

After that, click the icon with the arrow on the bottom right of the screen and edit the settings shown on the left.
Settings:

  • Anchor: Local Player
  • Target: None
  • Interpolation: None

Step 3

Now you need to set up the render. To do so, simply click on the small png icon on the top left of the screen. Something like this should pop up:

Leave the screen size as it is
File format: Any
Sharpen: Yes
Player Labels: No
Antialiasing: 196*
Motion Blur: Yes; Value should be more than 0 and less than 0.1 (0.01 would do fine)
Depth of Field: If you want, you can do, I mostly don’t
TS-Samples: I have no idea what it does, I mostly leave it at 25*
Car Reflections: Yes
The rest won’t matter

Step 4

Just let the render progress and once it’s done (it normally takes ~20 seconds for me), press any key to save (e.g. the Space Bar) and ESC to quit without saving.
This should be the result:
