How to Hunt Your Beefalo

Overview

This guide will show you how to properly hunt your Beefalo efficiently!

Chapter 1: Finding a Beefalo

Beefalo are located in the Savanna biome, and usually around poop piles. You will probably find them in a herd, and if you attack one, they will all gang up on you. Before you look for beefalo, you should have at least a grass suit and a pickaxe. Then, you can go look for them and hunt them.

Chapter 2: Hunting

After you’ve found a Beefalo (or a herd) you should equip your spear and get ready to fight. First, you should pick up the poop (manure) to make a farm later. To hunt the Beefalo, simply attack it with a spear, and when it attacks you, move back. This might take a little while, but it’s worth it.

Chapter 3: Looting

Beefalo have a 33% chance to drop a Beefalo Horn, which can be used to get 5 Beefalo to follow you until night comes. They will also drop meat, Beefalo Wool, and Manure.

Chapter 4: How to Hunt a Koalefant

To hunt the next level of Beefalo, you will need to have at least a log suit and a spear for better protection. To find a Koalefant, you will need to dig up Suspicious dirt piles and follow animal tracks. After you find one, use the Beefalo strategy to kill it.

Chapter 5: Looting a Koalefant

Koalefants drop Meat, a Koalefant Trunk, and the occasional manure. Be sure to cook the meat or it will lower your sanity drastically.
