How To Install Texture/Resource Packs in Minecraft

Overview

Hello today I will be showing you how to install Minecraft texture/resource packs in 1.17

Finding a Cool Texture/Resource Pack

So before installing a texture pack, you should find one that you think looks cool. For this tutorial I am using Soft Bits[www.planetminecraft.com] . MAKE SURE YOU LIKE THE TEXTURE PACK YOU CHOOSE THAT IS VERY IMPORTANT

Finding Your Resource/Texture Packs Folder

In order to find the folders you need to dump your texture/resource packs in, you need to go to your windows search bar in the bottom left corner with the little magnifying glass, type in %appdata% and click it, open the .minecraft folder, and then you’ll see two different folders; ” resourcepacks ” and ” texturepacks “

Dumping the Texture/Resource Pack Files in the Corresponding Folder

in order to use the minecraft texture/resource pack, you have to put it in the corresponding folder. For my case, I have to put the Soft Bits files into the resourcepack folder.

Testing the Pack

Now its time to see if you installed it correctly. Boot up Minecraft and go to Options on the title screen

Next, under “Resource Packs” you should find the pack’s name.

Click it and then the texture/resource pack should be applied.

You’re Done

Enjoy!
