How to kill Storm Weaver from Calamity

Overview

Hello Terrarians! have you been bested by the DoG mini more times than you can count, have you ever thought about using cheat sheet even though you said you wouldn’t? Well save yourself the guilt with this fullproof strategy to killing the Storm Weaver.Original strategy by TonyOkGo.

What you will need.

-1100 minecart tracks
-an expert mode world
-ironskin and regen potions
-campfires if nessecary
-Mana regen potions if mage

Arena

The arena should consist of two 450 block long minecart tracks with a 90 block gap up in the space layer, connect the two tracks using the remaining track. Next you should hammer the ends of the track as shown in the image to create a loop. Afterwords, place campfires near the track for increased regeneration.

Mounts

The minecart for the arena requires expert mode, so create a new expert mode world if you haven’t already, summon the mech bosses in the world and take their expert mode items to a nearby Mythril/Orichalcum Anvil and craft a mechanical cart. The top speed of the minecart isn’t fast enough to outrun the storm weaver but we’ll get to that.

Armor, Accessories, Weapons

It is reccomended for any sentinal fight that you use tarragon armor with the class you are using, i wont go into detail in this guide about class specific accessories but i will go over ones useful for all classes.

You will need:

-The absorber
-Ambrosial Ampoule
-Blood Pact
-Celestial Shell
and most importantly, any knockback canceling accessory.

For weapons, i suggest using anything that pierces and/or homes to the Storm Weaver like the Nuclear Fury.

Stragegy

Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for, the godsend to all you cheat free players who are struggling against this boss. Well here it is, simply buff up and ride in the direction with the intersection of the upper portion layered over the bottom portion (refer to the picture in the arena chapter of this guide) and use your homing weapon as Storm Weaver follows you. If you find that it is still gaining on you simply jump to increase your speed, but be careful near the top of the world as if you jump too late you could fly off of your arena turning the battle in Storm Weaver’s favor. If you remain vigalant and dont take too much damage. you will eventually win and get ever closer the the Devouerer of Gods.
