Overview
How to launch the Steam version of Quake II with overlay using the Quake 2 Server Browser application found at: http://www.moddb.com/games/quake-2/downloads/r1chnet-quake-2-server-browser-beta-3
Create a batch file called q2.bat
Create a batch file called q2.bat in your Steam folder where the steam.exe file is:
notepad C:Program Files (x86)Steamq2.bat
Inside the file enter the following line:
steam.exe -applaunch 2320 +connect %2
Open and Configure Quake 2 Server Browser (QSB.EXE)
Open the Quake 2 Server Browser application and configure it..
Where it says Game Path enter the folder location of the batch file you just created C:Program Files (x86)Steam and where it says Game Executable enter q2.bat
