How to link a screenshot into a forum post

A step by step guide on how you can post your screenshot into your forum post

Finding your screenshots

Scroll down on your library page until you find a window on the right showing some of your most recent screenshots, click on the link to MANAGE MY SCREENSHOTS This will open a new window called the SCREENSHOT UPLOADER

Uploading your screenshot

In order to share a screenshot you need to upload it to the cloud using the screenshot uploader to make it available for public viewing.
1 – Select the screenshot you want to upload (this will not have a cloud icon in the bottom left corner)
2 – Add a caption if you want (this is optional)
3 – Click UPLOAD

This will open a small window which gives you the option to change the visibility (who can view your image) the default is PUBLIC (even if Steam seems to have spelt it PUBIC) and an additional option to share to FB – CLICK ON UPLOAD

Linking your screenshot to a post

In the SCREENSHOT UPLOADER
1 – You will now see that your newly uploaded image has a small cloud icon in the bottom left corner meaning it is now available for public viewing.
2 – To access this image click on the link to VIEW ONLINE LIBRARY
This will take you to your SCREENSHOTS page where you can now see all your screenshots, find and CLICK on the one you wish to link into a post
Your screenshot will now open in its own window and at the top left is the ‘address’ for that image which you need to carefully highlight (do not include the small linking box at the end of the line)
RIGHT click the link and COPY it

FINALLY
Make your post and paste the link where you want your image to appear – until you hit the box to POST COMMENT you will only be able to see the linking address but once it has been posted it will appear as an image
