How to make binary star systems
How to do it
Making a binary system in universe sandbox is easy and fun to play with.
First you want to start with an Empty System
Then add 2 similar star sizes, such as the Sun and something smaller, such as Barnard’s Star and put it into orbit around the sun.
Then go into edit mode and select the highlight tool, right under the cursor tool. Drag the box so it covers both stars.
Click “Balance Selected”, “Add Barycenter” and “Make Binary Orbit”.
Enjoy your binary orbit!
