How to make custom names for A.I [OUTDATED]

Overview

Bored of the bland “Player x” A.I names? Have you seen mods that change A.I names and want to make your own? Its VERY easy, so don’t fear!

Getting into the game files

First thing you are going to want to do is get to the main game files. If you know how to do this already you can skip this part. If you are new to this, don’t worry, its easy as pie.

1. Right click on the “Next Car Game: Wreckfest” title in your steam library and then click on “Properties”

2. A window should pop up, select the “Local files” tab

3. Click on “Browse Local Files”

4. Step one done!

Finding the A.I names text file

Alright, you made it to the games files! Now lets find that one lone text file that will let you make names for your friends on the track. Lucky for you, I already spent a good 20 min looking for this file so you don’t have to! How nice am I, eh?

1. Select the “data” file.

2. Select the “property” file.

3. Select the “career” file.

4. Select “a.i names” text file, open it with notepad.

Easy, No?

Coming up with names

Now, here comes the fun part!

1. Write your names on a seperate line.

Doing very hard maths, you may come to realise that since the game only lets 24 cars on the track at once, that you can only write 24 names. Surprise! You can write more! Keep in mind that any names past line 24 will be thrown in the game at random.
