First steps

When you first create a character, you'll have to select a gender, name, moniker, build and voice. Just go with the first base build and Voice 01.

Then, in the 'Player Profile' screen select 'Make more detailed edits'.

・Mercedes Marten: 'Edit Head'

To play as our beautiful second hand Casca, start with any female preset and follow these steps on your character creation:

Hairstyle 41

Face Shape 03

Eyes 05

Brows 32

Nose 06

Mouth 27

Ears 01

Ears are irrelevant as you won't see them, but anyways, I'll go with Ears 01.

・Mercedes Marten: 'Edit Body'

Ignore 'Preset Bodies' and proceed to 'Stature'.

・Mercedes Marten: Full armor set and sword.

To fully cosplay as Mercedes Marten, you'll need the Captain's Armor Set, Silver Chestplate, Gryphic Gauntlets, Brown Laced Leggings, Wyrm Hunt Mantle.

And if you wanna go even further, go get the Silver Rapier.

Here's how to obtain each one of them:

  • Captain's Armor Set: Can be purchased from Mountebank at The Black Cat. Also appears on your inventory thanks to the A Coiffure You Can't Refuse cosmetic DLC pack.
  • Silver Chestplate: Sold during Post-Game at Caxton's Armory or by Mathias at the Greatwall Encampment. Can also be found in a chest at The Greatwall's first level underground, The Bluemoon Tower and Garden of Ignominy.
  • Gryphic Gauntlets: Can be purchased from Caxton at Caxton's Armory, Jayce in Devilfire Grove, Alon in the Ancient Quarry, Mathias at the Greatwall Encampment and Barroch on Bitterblack Isle. Can also be found in a chest at the Bluemoon Tower and the Proving Grounds, and is a reward for the quest titled A Parting Tribute.
  • Brown Laced Leggings: Can be purchased at Madeleine's Shop in Gran Soren after beating the first Wyrm Hunt Quest, or you can find it in the roof of The Greatwall during the Deny Salvation quest or in a chest in the Blighted Manse.
  • Wyrm Hunt Mantle: Can be purchased at The Black Cat.
  • Silver Rapier: Can be obtained during the quest Pride Before a Fall if you watch Mercedes and Julien fight without interrupting them.

By the way, I selected a black makeup for her. I think she looks (even) prettier this way.

・Madeleine: 'Edit Head'

・Madeleine: Full armor set and sword.

To fully cosplay as Madeleine, you'll need the Cassardi Shift, Alchemickal Bangles, Leather Bandits, Steel-Toed Boots and Set of Lady's Trek Wear.

Here's how to obtain each one of them:

  • Cassardi Shift: Sold at Iola's shop in Cassardis.
  • Alchemickal Bangles: Sold by Madeleine during Post-Game, can be found in a chest withing the Great Wall during the Deny Salvation quest (only if the guard survives the fight against the Skeleton Lord), in another chest at The Tainted Mountain Temple and at the Forsaken Cathedral Pre-Daimon.
  • Leather Bandits: Can be purchased from Reynard, Madeleine, Jayce and Barroch, or found in a chest over a cliff in Cassardis after passing through Heraldo's Grocery.
  • Steel-Toed Boots: Can be purchased by Caxton or found in a chest at The Everfall.
  • Set of Lady's Trek Wear: Can be purchased at the Black Cat

Extra

In my last playthrough I played as Mercedes and made Madeleine as my main Pawn. Didn't gift anything to anyone and went straight to the main questlines so I didn't know which romantic interest I'd get, turns out it was the real Madeleine herself.

So now I'm surrounded by two Madeleines, lol.

In a future playthrough I want to play as Selene, so I may add her to this guide or make her own.
