Tired of getting your weaknesses exploited? Fear no more I am coming to the rescue!
Intro
Hello friends, are you guys tired of getting endlessly cheesed when you forget lead or camo coverage, or even worse, Camo leads? Don’t you hate it when your crowd control sucks and your opponent is a jerk and spams yellows? Don’t you hate it when your opponent spams ceramics because you have no popping power? Fear no more my friends! I will get you out of the cheesefest and into the top ranks!
Towers
The Towers you choose can make all the difference in a match of BTD battles. You need to choose towers that have benifits unique to each other, not towers that all do the same thing. For example, having an ace and a buccaneer together is not a great strategy because they both specialize in popping power, but have trouble with lead and crowd control. A better thing to do would be Bomb and Buccaneer because the bomb does lead and crowd control, while the buccaneer is almost unmatched in sheer popping power. One other thing to keep in mind is the map. Maps with lots of water and little land, such as hydro dam, you need to learn to utilize some water based towers such as buccaneer. On maps with no water, such as temple, you need to learn to get a good replacement for the water tower if you rely on it such as I do. My main strategy is Bomb, Buccaneer, and Ninja/Tack Shooter. On maps with no water, I have to find a suitable replacement for the buccaneer since it’s my main and favorite tower. I switch it out with Ninja and do Apprentice or tack shooter for 3rd.
Model Tower loadout
So here is a good model loadout, although I highly encourage you to make your own. The one I use all the time, like I said earlier, is Buccaneer, Bomb, and the 3rd varies on the map. The buccaneer I use for it’s nearly unmatched popping power that in my opinion is only bested by the super monkey, and I use the bomb tower because it is extremely effective against leads and those nasty rushes of yellows and pinks. For camo, I use ninja in 3rd or buccaneer’s tier 2 Crow’s nest upgrade. For the 3rd Tower, here’s how I determine: I use Ninja for the maps with straight-ish tracks because It has good popping power, and is a good supplement to the buccaneer. I use the engineer on maps with tightly packed tracks because of it’s Gigantic range, popping power, and ability to reveal camos and leads at tier 3. On maps with tight cornered or bent tracks, I use tacks because of their ability to pop bloons that are spread out and it’s really good tier 3 and 4 upgrades. For maps with no water, I replace the buccaneer with the ninja because the ninja has almost as much popping power, and can hit camos. You will see I have a contingency plan for almost all disasters and situations to keep my win streak up.
Monkey apprentices
If you have a great strategy going but are missing camo or lead, we all know which one tower to turn to that will keep you covered. Yep, you guessed it, the monkey apprentice. It hits both camo and leads, and has decent popping power at tier 2. At tier 3, Wirlwind is the way to go if you have good popping power, and fire breath makes it have the popping power of a destroyer or super monkey. The apprentice sounds good, right? The problem I’ve run into with it is that the upgrades are expenisive, and unlike the buccaneer, which also has decently expensive upgrades, It’s range is not impressive. It is still a great tower, I’m just personally biased against it.
Strengths and weaknesses of all towers
Here is a guide on all tower for great loadout building. A good loadout usually consists of good camo coverage, lead coverage, Some crowd capabilities, and popping power. Camo lead coverage is also desireable, and that is where the apprentice is awesome. Here is your charts:
Dart Monkey: Is very cheap which allows you to get good crowds, but in small maps is not ideal. Has poor popping power unless you get a spike-o-pult, which incredibly slows fire rate, one of the dart monkey’s strengths. It does have camo coverage which is great, but no lead coverage till tier 4.
Sniper Monkey: Has superb popping power, mid priced, but has HORRID crowd control. You get a rush of yellows depending on these you are screwed. Unlimited range is nice though.
Tack Shooter: Has a small, circular radius and performs extremely well around tight bends which not a lot of towers do well, and has good popping power and is decently cheap.
Boomerang Monkey: From what I have found, The boomerang monkey is just not a good tower. I has ok popping power but good crowd control, but is very cheap and can easily hit ice which is it’s biggest advantage. Cannot hit camo till level 4.
Ninja Monkey: Overall one of my favorite towers. Has really good popping power, Casts decently fast, is mid-priced, and can hit camo without any upgrades. Can also hit lead and stun at tier 3.
Bomb Tower: Another favorite of mine. Has lead coverage without any upgrades, has superb crowd control, especially with tier 3, and can stun at tier 4. Also is super effective against moabs at tier 3.
Glue Gunner: Has great slowing but poor popping capabilities until tier 3, then gets mediocre.
Ice Tower: Has great slowing and suprisingly good popping power at tiers 2 and 3, but turns stuff to ice which only certain towers can pop.
Monkey Ace: Has good popping power and camo coverage, but then gets AMAZING popping power at tier 3. Very expensive though.
Heli pilot: Has great popping power and has camo coverage, but is player controlled until tier 2 which is a pain. Also expensive. Unlimited range is a plus too.
Monkey Apprentice: Can hit camo and leads cheaply, is mid-priced, and has good popping power until tier 3 then gets amazing popping power.
Super Monkey: Has AMAZING popping power, but has no camo coverage and can’t do leads until tier 2. INSANELY EXPENSIVE. 3500 to get out and cheapest upgrade is 1000. Has really good range though.
Monkey Buccaneer: My favorite tower. Is mid-priced, has great popping power, and can hit camo. Has lead capability at tier 3, though destroyer is so much better.
Monkey sub: Is mid-priced, but has unlimited range at tier 2, can grant camo to other towers (But makes it have no popping power while doing so), and has lead capability at tier 3. Also has good popping power.
Bloonchipper: Has Great popping power and moab wrecking capability but has bad crowd control and is somewhat expensive. Also no camo.
Engineer: Mid priced, Has great popping power, can reveal camos and pop lead at tier 3, and potentially gets cash at tier 4. Good tower.
Spike Factory: Good crowd control, Good popping power, and can get camos and leads, but somewhat expensive.
Bannana farm: No popping power whatsoever, but produces cash which is great. Is expensive though.
Monkey village: The support tower. Has no popping ability whatsoever, is pretty expensive, but has some really awesome benefits to towers in it’s radius, such as upped attack speed or camo detection.
Mortar: A mid-priced tower that is set to one spot and drops bombs there. Has lead popping, is good at crowd control, and can reveal camo, but has poor popping power.
Cobra: The other support tower that you only get on lucky bonus spins. Has some really awesome abilities such as stealing lives, along with some crappy popping power which is better than nothing.
Conclusion
Good luck with your new win-worthy strategy and keep playing, because bloons is actually one of the good free games out there, most of them are pay to win which I hate. Have fun bloon hunters!
