How to “omnigrid” or guide to putting any size blocks on any size grid

Overview

Ever wanted to put large blocks on small grids and vice versa? Well.. Here you go.

Modifying blueprints.

Blueprint a block that you want to modify
Press win + R
Type in %appdata%
Run
Go to Roaming
Then Space Engineers
Then blueprints
Find the blueprint of the block you want to modify
Open the folder with your blueprint name
Open BP.sbc with notepad
Change “gridsizeEnum” from small to large or from large to small
Save
Delete all the other files in the folder. Only leave BP.sbc
Refresh your blueprint list
Spawn and attach blueprint to your existing grid
Voila. Now you can put it on a grid of a different size then the original block allows. Have fun!

NOTE:

Doing this may corrupt your blueprint. Maybe even the savegame you did it in.
No guarantees.
EDIT: As of one of the game updates, “Enable supergridding” must be enabled in world settings to use this. The addition of many small blocks has made this less useful however.
