Overview
If you have played Meadow for around 30 minutes or so you may have noticed black totem pole-like things. These are called obelisks. You can open these obelisks by having certain amount of animals around you. The number of diamond shapes on the obelisk is the number of animals you need to unlock it. I would recommend always styaing in a medium size group of about 3 or so people. To form a group make sure you are in a large server and just wait around the main tree. I usually find people in about a minute. If you see a animal drawing it means you need a specific type of animal to unlock it. Once the diamond shape thing lights up it means the animal has contributed to unlocking the obelisk. Inside these obelisks there are stones which give you essence. I find this is the most effective way of finding essence.
