Overview
A quick guide to how to start and play Split-Screen Co-Op.
Local Split-Screen Co-Op Requirements
Fight The Dragon supports Split-Screen Co-Op in the following configurations.
- Player 1 on Mouse & KB and Player 2 on Controller
- Player 1 and Player 2 both on Controllers
Fight The Dragon currently officially supports XBox360 controllers or controllers that are mapped to XBox360 mapping using 3rd party apps or Steam Big Picture mode.
How to play in Split-Screen Co-Op mode
Starting a game for local Split-Screen Co-Op is the same as starting a normal offline game.
Player 1 starts the game and picks an adventure to play from their world map.
Once player 1 is in the adventure, player 2 can press [START] on their controller and a new Character selection UI will appear on the right hand side of the screen.
Player 2 can either choose from an existing character or create a new one.
If Player 2 chooses to create a new character, Player 1 (if on Mouse & KB), will have to yield control of the KB so Player 2 can enter a name for their character.
Once Player 2 has chosen their character, the game view will split and Player 2 will be on the right side.
At any time Player 2 can press [START] to bring up their pause menu and choose to drop out again.
IMPORTANT
- If Player 2 drops out of the game, all progress for Player 2’s character for that adventure will be lost. Only players that finish the adventure will have their progress saved.
- Local Split-Screen is not supported in an online game.
