Overview
Have you ever wanted to play TBOI online with friends? Do you want to learn how to play online? If so then this is the guide for you. WARNING: depending on your PC you may or may not be able to do this. (I may or may not have done this first but idk lol)
Conditions
You must have Geforce experience (must be able to enable experimental features)
The friend you want to play it with must have google.
You must own a copy of TBOI. (duh.)
WARNING this will give your friend complete control of your PC until you end the stream and or exit the game (Tabbing out pauses the stream)
Step 1: Set up
Set up your Geforce, then scan for TBOI if it was not already scanned.
Go to settings and there are 2 things you must enable.
You must enable sharing: the reason this is required is that the way that this works is that it streams the game to the other person and allows them to play from their PC to your pc. Example: one player can use keyboard and the other can use controller but only one may use keboard.
You must enable experimental features: Streaming is experimental.
Continue to step 2.
Step 2: Playing the game
Press alt z and then click streaming, but don’t get too excited yet you still need a little bit more setup
Go to guest permissions and allow them to play alongside you.
Send them the url
They should be able to work it out from there, but be aware it is experimental so you may encounter many bugs, I cannot help you with that.
If they are unable to work it out here is a short summary: They get an extention for chrome and that extention will allow them to join your game through your browser provided you set up correctly.
Reccomendations
We personally reccomend true co-op for the full experience as seen in the above screenshot.
My friend told me I should get the polling of isaac, but a one that leaves all of the items there because using the true co-op if you pick up an item it is yours not theirs
High speed internet is a big help, if both of you have high speed internet there will be no delay and or a very very slight delay. (like 1/16 of a second delay.)
Conclusion
If you have any questions or comments do not be afraid to ask them in the comments, I may respond or it may be Angus.
P.S I have not tested this with more than 1 other friend. -Jinx701
