DJ Hero Controller is not the best controller for this game but here’s how:
For me controller is recognized as “Guitar Hero 5 for PlayStation 3” controller by plugging usb dongle into Windows 10 PC. not sure it’ll work on other platforms.
SInce Spin Rhythm XD can’t handle controller’s wheel(Z-Axis rotation technically) you have to use JoyToKey for it.

Remap Horizontal Stick 1 with RZ-axis and adjust analog threshold(see picture below)
and map Left/Right Stick to Mouse Movement like below:
Go Steam -> Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings.
Map all buttons in panel which located at left top part of your controller.
You don’t have to map other buttons since other buttons are just duplicates.
Since this game involves a lot of clicking, using main RGB buttons makes harder to play
(it’s really hard to find buttons while spinning)
I recommend map buttons like below and play with Euphoria button(<Normal difficulties) or Triangle/Circle button(>=Hard difficulties).
You can adjust sensitivity in game option and JoyToKey(while doing Step 2.). I’ve set it to maximum.
Get used for stopping wheel manually on spinning notes. because wheel will keep spinning even long note is finished so you’ll going to miss continuing notes.
I think spinning can be improved by supporting Z-Axis rotating natively. but seems Steam’s controller API doesn’t support it so I’m not sure it’s possible to be done.
