How to completely loot the armory presented to you durring the tutorial.
What’s this about?
In Strain Tactic’s tutorial level, during the part about inventory management, the player is presented with an armory of many powerful (and expensive) items and weapons. However, the doors to the armory close permanently after you leave – and the lone soldier you have access to doesn’t have enough slots to completely clean out the room!
This guide is a very simple walkthrough that will show you how to get your hands on all that fantastic gear.
How it works
When you’ve completed the inventory management tutorial, the doors to the armory will open:
Be aware that the doors will close once JAKAL is clear of them and outside the armory – to play it safe, I recommend that you not move her past the second striped caution line:
Note that in the above image, I’ve issued an overwatch order to make JAKAL face the other side of the room.
I did this for a reason – when an equipped item is dropped, it is dropped on the side it is equipped, not directly below a unit.
By changing JAKAL’s facing, you can ensure she drops items as close to the second hazard line as possible.
It’s okay if some of the big items wind up in the middle of the door’s track, but make sure you try to get the small items close to the line.
Once you’ve emptied JAKAL’s inventory, repeat the process for the other items in the room. Remember to not cross that second hazard line!
Once you’ve got all the items (or all the ones you want) go ahead and exit the room. The doors will close behind JAKAL, and you should find yourself looking at the following scene:
You should be able to pick up the items you dropped by getting as close to the doors as possible! Your soldiers should be able to grab the items even though they can’t technically walk on the area.
If you have trouble finding some of the small items, move your mouse back and forth across the doors until the “pick” icon comes up.
Congratulations, you’ve successfully cleaned out the tutorial level’s armory!
