Overview
You want to restore that JDM soul to your machine? I’ve got that covered for you.
1. Downloading the required files and tools
In order to follow this guide, you’ll need to download the Unity Asset Bundle Extractor.

Make sure to download a correct version of the tool that actually works on your OS (32/64bit)

You’ll have to download this image too, as this will replace the existing Funselektor company logo.

And yes, this is the original asset file i’ve ripped from the past version of the game.
2. Replacing the texture using the downloaded tool in step 1
Extact the downloaded archive in wherever you want to and start the AssetBundleExtractor.exe.
File -> Open.
Navigate to your install directory and find resources.assets under AbsoluteDrift_Data folder. Program will load up 30k assets or so if done correctly.
Now you will encounter this handy menu, just sort via name and find two risingsun files, what we need to alter is the one with designated type of Texture2D. click the file once and highlight it, then click Plugins on right.
Finally save the edited resources file to somewhere else than the installation folder (when i tried the program didn’t let me to overwrite directly) and overwrite the original file in your installation directory.
3. Enjoy the uncensored experience.
Now the livery will still appear under the name of “Funselektor” but i know nothing about the unity engine, or where the string files are located, so you’ll just have to settle, i’m sorry about that.
but still, you can now drift again with proper style, with soul of japan.
