This is a brief guide on how to do a new type of armour I found, Rodforce!GERMAN-Das hier ist eine kurzer Guide, wie man eine neue Art von Rüstung baut die ich gefunden habe: Rodforce!
Short Rods
What you need to do is:
Get Short rods, around 100 if you want to do 3 layers, if you only want to do 2, then you will need about 70.
GERMAN:
Was du machen musst ist:
First, place rods like this:
GERMAN:
Platziere zuerst die “Rods” wie hier:
FRENCH:
D’abord, placez tiges comme this:
SPANISH:
En primer lugar, colocar varillas como esto:
PORTUGESE:
Primeiro, coloque as hastes como this:

Then on top like this:
GERMAN:
Dann auf der Oberseite wie hier:
FRENCH:
Puis sur le dessus comme this:

Em seguida, no topo como this:

A continuación, en la parte superior así:
And another angle:
You can scale it up:
GERMAN:
Du kannst auch mehrere Schichten nehmen:
FRENCH:
Vous pouvez escalader amont:

Você pode escalá-lo para cima:
SPANISH:
Puede ajustar su escala ascendente:
And another angle:
Remember to add a layer of blocks under the rods, like this:
Also, remember to add the lines of blocks, like this (The ones I’ve covered in orange):
You can also do it like this (Vertically, rather than horizontally):
Long rods
The same principle applies with long rods as short rods:
As with the short rods, you can expand it.
The same as the short rods, it works Vertically too:
Curved rods
These are a special case, they can’t be used like the others, the do make a pretty pattern though:
This does work, just it is very hard to do and isn’t as effective in small cases as the other two, however, if you knit it in such a way that it is very effective, it can really tank damage, unfortunately, it took me way too long to figure out, and even longer to make! It is too difficult to do a walkthrough on it, so I won’t, but if you want to, experiment!
Robot Ideas
Here are a couple of robots that I have made that use rodforcing:
As you can see this is a copter, an airofoil flyer would probably work with this as well.
A tank:
Why should you do this armour and why does it work?
This form of armour is good because it is like aero rod triforcing. It adds layers of armour in a criss cross, which therefore means that everything is connected to everything. It is similar to reactive armour, R0SEFALL has mentioned this multiple times and why it is good. This form of armour redistributes damage away from important parts of your bot.
