Overview
This guide will teach new players how to play the game. It will help those who do not know how to play and teach them the basics of survival.
Starting Off
When you wake up you will see that you have blood on your arms, worry about that later. First gather all of the supplies out of the plane. Don’t forget the food on the seats, your character is very hungry and needs food. once your walk out of the plane you will automatically have the ‘Plane Axe’, use this to bust open those suitcases and take the supplies, the passengers aren’t going to need them.
Basic Survival
Now that your somewhat prepared, we’re gonna need you very prepared and so does your son.Find the nearest supply of water, which should either be a lake a pond or the ocean. Once you do jump in it to clear off the blood on you so that you don’t get an infection. Once your out of the water press ‘B’ and you’ll get out your survival guide. you can either build a hunting shelter or a small cabin which are both easy. If you’ve picked a small cabin then you’ll need to get around 13 logs if you’ve a hunting shelter then you’ll need to get some sticks some rock and some logs (Find the item counter on the screen).
Once you’ve built your shelter build a fire of your decision using the same method (Bon fires attract enemies more so than other fires, Basic fires only stay lit for a little while, standing fires attract enemies but not as much as Bon fires and fire Pits are stay lit for longer than Basic fires). Now that you’ve got a decent base you’ll need to find some food. Tto do this your going to need to kill an animal such as a goana or deer. Left Click next to an animal to atack and eventualy kill, then press and hold ‘E’ next to the animal to skin it then press ‘E’ again to take it’s meat.
Go back to your base by following the transparent home sign. hold ‘E’ next to your fire to light it,then go into your inventory and grab the animal meat and put it onto the fire by pressing the ‘C’ key. Stay there and wait for a eating symbol to appear on the fire so that you may eat your food.
Advanced Survival
Now that you know the basics of survival, your gonna need to know some advanced stuff. That’s right, stuff’s gonna get hard. By now you may have already met the locals and you can tell your not a welcome in this neighbourhood. If you’ve been attacked, your gonna be prompted to make traps, so go into your survival guide(B) and go to the traps section and get a trap. No, not a rabbit trap, those big ones and I wouldn’t use the molotov or bomb traps until you’ve built your base (I’m not gonna teach you how to do that, your gonna have to teach yourself that one) as they can seriously hurt you if you hit one and not the cannibals.
