This is a very brief guide that explains what is required to obtain Ultima Weapon.
Fix Princess Sara’s Pendant
- Speak to a Mognet Moogle as Ingus until you have read the letter “Help!” from Princess Sara.
- Speak to a Mognet Moogle as Refia until you have read the letter “Legendary Smith” from Takka.
- Talk to Sara in Castle Sasune, East Tower.
- Talk to Takka in Kazus.
- Talk to the Legendary Smith in Northwestern Saronia, she is on the right of the area.
- Return the fixed Pendant to Princess Sara.
Defeat the Monster in Cid’s Basement
- Speak to a Mognet Moogle as Luneth until you have read the letter “Something in the Basement…” from Cid.
- Talk to Cid in Canaan.
- Deafet the Monster “Aeon” in Cid’s Basement. Not difficult it has 10000 HP and casts Quake when its HP is low.
- Talk to Cid again for him to identify the “Unkown Metal” as Orichalcum.
Open the Door to Eureka
- Once you have entered the Crystal Tower and opened the Door to Eureka, return through the Ancient Maze. To open the door just head north from the entrance.
- Talk to the Legendary Smith in Falgabard. Just right of the weapon shop. She will now create for you “Ultima Weapon”
Falgabard is the town just South West of Saronia. You will need to use the Invincible to get there.
note: I did not find the Mognet quests until I had the Invincible so I am not sure when they actually unlock. But as you cannot complete the quest chain until you have opened the door to Eureka you can just start it then.
