Overview
This guide desribes how to use the Stronghold 2 level editor.
Starting Up
When you first click on level editor button, you’ll see this.
Theres the picture of the map to be on the left (black square), and on the right is the event editor.
At the top there is also diffrent gamemodes, but just choose “War Custom” or “Peace Custom”.
Map Editing
Click ‘edit’ in the lower right and you’ll be able to edit the map.
Move around with arrow keys. You’ll start out in the building menu, but click on the terrain editor button on the right (the picture of a tree).
First click on the button with a picture of a hill, then click around to make some hills.
Then click the foiliage tab and place some trees.
In the next tab you’ll be able to place a stream.
In the next tab you can place territory for difrent factions.
Next head back to the buildings tab and place some starting buildings for your map.
Events
Your map needs events like, “if you defeat all their troops, claim victory”. To do this head back to the main screen.
You’ll see it has ‘mission 1’ already there, so click edit to edit it.
You’ll see this screen.
From within each mission you can edit diffrent events in which the mission is forfilled.
Each event can have trigger an an action.
Also in each mission you can edit things like building avaibility and marketing goods.
