Introduction
This guide covers farming in Inquisitor – Martyr: what items and resources to collect, when to collect and spend them.
The lifespan of a character in Inquisitor – Martyr can be divided into 3 stages:
1) 1-60 level – you enjoy the campaign, occasionally doing missions for Ordos reputation and daily challenges. You don’t need to spend resources at all. Items are to be sold. Relics are to be stored and then salvaged when they become outdated.
2) 61-84 level – you prepare to the endgame. The main activity is Intel missions as they provide the most XP. You are farming: XP, Machine God’s Spark, Spark of Glory, Credits, Relic Blueprints, Ordos reputation, Intels, Meme Virus. Note that crafting materials can be acquired via salvaging Relics, Ancient Relics and Archeotech Relics, therefore prioritize them over crafting materials while choosing the Tarot card. You don’t need to spend resources at all.
3) 85-100 level – the endgame. You are doing Void Crusades: they are one of the best sources of Relics in game (the Maelstrom of Chaos DLC is another). The ordinary Relics are currently the best items because they can drop with 6 enchants. The endgame starts on the 85th level because the max level of an item is 90 and an item level can be increased 5 times through crafting. Actually, Relics of 85th level can drop a few levels earlier if you are doing missions of higher levels.
3 general tips:
1) Don’t waste resources on crafting and upgrading items till the endgame. As you reach lvl 85, get a set of good items, but they are most probably placeholders and their level don’t need to be upgraded unless they have 6 enchants (relics with 6 enchants are the best items) because this costs a LOT of credits. Then replace them on lvl 90.
2) Fate is the most scarce resource as you can spend it on DLCs and you will never have enough of it. By lvl 90 you will be able to acquire 1 or 2 DLCs with fate. Spend it wisely. From the farming point of view, Forgotten Arsenal is useful as it unlocks another shop (6 enchant relics can occasionally be found there).
3) If you want to get XP as fast as possible, you need to play the campaign on the easiest difficulty. The downside is that there will be no fun and no decent skill test this way. The final missions of Martyr and Prophecy are the only ones with good loot quantity/quality among all the story missions.
