Jungles of Chult - Lost City of Omu Map Farming & Location Guide

This will give you a rough idea of the area you need to be in for each map.
Click the map to enlarge, once you have identified the number of the map you are wanting to dig up, click the X button in the top right.
There is an "Overview" menu on the right hand side column, select the map location number and it'll take you straight to that section.

I'll start by saying I'm afraid this title is misleading, you can only "farm" 6 maps per week.
Yep I'm afraid The Jungles of Chult are extremely tight with their treasure maps.



The way to get these maps it by going to Ekene-Afa in Port Nyanzaru and completing the "Patrolling Chult (6x weekly)" quest.
In order to complete this quest you have to complete a "(Patrol)" quest (guides will be added later).

When you hand in a (Patrol) quest it will then allow you to hand in Patrolling Chult (6x weekly) quest to which you will be given a random treasure map.



It really is that simple.

You will need to kill the three Deinonychus to get to this chest.

You may want to keep an eye out for the RazorTyrannus that patrols the area.

There is a mob hovering over this chest, so you will have to clear them in order to get to it.

You may also want to keep an eye out for the RazorTyrannus that patrols the area, wandering companions are likely to aggro it.

There are two Sun Bears that you will need to kill to get to this chest.

There are a few Thayan mobs that you might pull aggro on getting to this chest, but once into the square at the end it is possible to avoid the three mobs and empty the chest.

You will want to clear the undead mob to the left of this chest as they will always see you and attack whilst trying to open the chest.
The mob to the right of the chest has a smaller chance of seeing you, but again they sometimes do
or wandering companions can pull aggro, so it might be wise to clear both mobs just in case.

Unless you're extremely lucky and someone has cleared the way ahead of you, then you will have to grind your way to this chest, no matter which entrance you enter from.
When you do finally get to this room, there is either a mob of spiders or a single Hunt Lure spider waiting for you.

I would recommend entering the Undercity from entrance *3, you only have 2 mobs to kill this way.
Unless you have other objectives to achieve in this Undercity dungeon I would never enter for entrance *4, it is far too much of a grind to make the contents of the chest worthwhile.
