Just-Cause 3: Multiplayer – Starting guide!

Hello!
Just Cause 3 have been a very awesome sandbox game since the very release, but it’s been a hard time for the game to stay relevant, as it’s predecessor had what it would seemingly never get – Multiplayer. But this problem is a christmas present to the past! Nanos.io, the developers behind a lot of amazing work, have announced that their version of JC-MP for Just Cause 3 is ready – and it looks amazing!

And we have liftoff! Release!

The mod has finally been released!

Head on to [link] to get started!

After downloading:
When you’ve downloaded the installer (.exe) you should put it somewhere you can access it.
Then run the .exe as administrator and proceed with the installation. (You will be prompted to pick a installation directory, so remember to make a folder somewhere for it.)

When the installer is done you are good to go! There is a shortcut on your desktop, run it, and you’re off! See you in medici!

Nanos, the guys behind the art:

So…?
In this guide I will help more people to know about this multiplayer and what’s behind – so we can get that extra push for more people to be there with us the 20. It’s gonna be awesome!

The guys behind this multiplayer, are nanos.io: They are behind some GTA:IV, GTA:V, Mafia II & Just-Cause multiplayer modifications – and they’ve done it professionally! Since they announced that they’ve started working on JC3:MP (Just-Cause 3: Multiplayer), they’ve released a weekly devblog – give us, the fans, a great insight in what they’ve been up to, and they did so almost every sunday up until release. The first devblog was release the 20th of December, 2015, so it’s not an overnight project. During this time the developers have been very active on their forums, responding to requests and newbie questions, which constantly have been raining upon them: I really respect their patience, even if it wasn’t as bad as it looked.

Also during this time of development the project have been canceled (And I think it’ve been so a few times, don’t quote me on that, though..), as the lead developer, Cameron Foote, was offered to work at Avalanche Studios, the studio behind Just-Cause 3 itself. This resulted in the project stopping in an “Indefinite halt”; which also is a thing of the past. Phew. This was back in July, however, and the project have come a long way since then.

Actual guide:

It’s great that you can tell me all this “lore”; give me the goodies! – Alright, as this article is being written the 19th of December, 2016, I cannot give you a 100% true insight on how things are done, HOWEVER, I’ve been playing in their stresstest and preview releases – so I’m not 100% in the shadows. What you want to do to get the release is head over to [link] to grab your release. (Granted that you, the reader, is reading after the release, or past the releasedate…)

Installation:

Once you finished downloading you should have a .exe file.

Alright, once you have the .exe you want to put it somewhere you can run it; let’s say your desktop.
Run the program as an administrator and go on with the installation.
I suggest you create a folder in your steamapps directory called Just-Cause Multiplayer for easy navigation.

After you’ve finished with the installer you should have a new desktop icon: You’re good to go!
See you there!

And that’s it! You’re ready to join us in the most epic sandbox multiplayer experience ever!
See you on the fields!

Ingame commands and alike!
