Just the Stealth

Overview

suggestions for basic stealth routes with low equipment assumptions

Introduction

The following are some demonstrations of suggestions for basic stealth routes. I made these some time ago for fun and personal challenge but hopefully someone can get some use from them. I tried to keep equipment assumptions to a minimum (see notes on level sections).

Lost Tunnel

  • equipment assumption: none (trench knife)

Dry

  • no kills/knockouts
  • equipment assumption: none

Front Line

  • no kills/knockouts
  • equipment assumption: none

Outpost

equipment assumption: powerful silent weapon. There is bitc- demon on the roof and (unless you want the safe key) it can be avoided easily. It seems though that if the demon is avoided then it will start to circle the building once you reach the last room (seems to be scripted event). This auto-alerts all enemies in the building, breaking their paths. The falling corpse will only trigger suspicion. Additionally at 4:45 I found that it was important to land on the desk and not the floor: landing on the floor often triggers suspicion in the AI in the next room which causes the soldier near the inside of the door to switch on his headlamp. He does not turn the lamp off when the suspicion times-out though.

Black Station

  • no kills/knockouts
  • equipment assumption: 1 ammo for silent weapon (used at 4:34 but it’s actually not necessary to shoot the light

Depository

  • no kills/knockouts
  • equipment assumption: none

Archives

  • no kills/knockouts
  • equipment assumption: none
