Overview
The Psycho character you play, you think he is merely a random psycho. Today you will learn that your character is not only a psycho but plays a larger role in the story than you think he does. To you people who have seen this theory before, I’ve got evidence you haven’t seen before I promise. Then they were taken in for Eridium Experimentation. Tina got away with her mother’s dynamite stick. Randy Pitchford (CEO of Gearbox) has confirmed that both of Tiny Tina’s parents are infact dead. The evidence I will show you will force you to believe he is a dirty liar trying to surprise you by confirming it in the next game. Anyways. Both of her parents were experimented on, Tina’s mom died, but Tina’s father escaped with his life. That leads to point #1. Evidence #1 Krieg is Hyperion property. We can presume it was for experimentation because that’s the only thing Hyperion has been known to own human beings for. After all of this. He is insane. Now he wants revenge on the man that put him in his current state. He was justice and to protect other human beings at risk. Evidence #2 Why would Krieg want to hunt for a vault? He’s a psycho, and psycho’s have never done anything of importance such as opening a vault. I believe he wants to hunt the vault for revenge, if he can get to it Jack can’t. Evidence #3 I noticed this while playing Son of Crawmerax. There’s a side mission called “Victims of Vault Hunters” where these mercenaries try to murder you but every character has a different person who saves them. Then the character reads a letter from the savior. I’m going to use Krieg’s example. (This is really going to make you believe me.) When Krieg is saved, he reads his letter and Krieg reads it as:”SALUTATIONS PSYCHOMAN I’M SORRY AS A SLICE WOUND SINCERELY SAMMY” After I heard this I thought:Well who is Sammy? Sammy is one of the scientists that have done slag experimentations as shown in the ECHOs in the mission:Doctor’s Orders. She is known as Doctor Samuels and is referred to as “Sammy” from Handsome Jack. We see that Sammy has remorse for doing what she did to Krieg and turning him into the monster he has become. But wait, there’s more! Evidence #4 In Moxxi and the Wedding Day Massacre, Moxxi asks the vaulthunter if there ever was a Miss/Mister Vaulthunter in your life. Krieg’s answer is:”THE TINY ONE AND THE SAD-FACED MOTHER AND THE BLUE TATTOO FOREVER AND EVER!” We could say he has a crush on Maya as he mentions the “Blue Tattoo”, but he mentions “The Tiny One” I believe this to be Tiny Tina, his child, and he’s trying to talk about his family. Not to mention the “Sad-faced Mother” which could be his wife he had that was sad from being experimented on? I have no idea feel free to comment what you think. Evidence #5 These are going to be a couple random Krieg quotes that have lots of VERY interesting points that will add to my theory. A. (In Activating Raving Retribution)”You’re gonna scream, just like she did; open mouth, open heart, blood and noise forever piercing my skull, poisoning me with its psychopathic purple liquid. We watched it all, and felt the knife edge split down the middle… CAN YOU HEAR ME?! ” This makes total sense with the theory. Krieg’s wife, (Tina’s mother) screamed in agony of her pain of being eridium experimented on. Check out the part with the “psychopathic purple liquid”, it’s definitely eridium experimentation.B. (While Idle) “(Where is she? Is she still alive? Did she get away?)” Krieg’s inner voice wondering how Tina is.C.(When Raving Retribution is active.)”I’ll never forget the way her holes cried… The way she screamed in agony as she pushed the knife slowly into my sternum… Such a beautiful symphony of feelings, and at the end of it, she was so much greater! My operatic diva of flesh and steel!!” My guess is this is Sammy experimenting on Krieg.D.(When Raving Retribution is Active.) “Over here, my sweet meats, your prince of justice and genocide has something to say: Gone are the days of the tentacle and the age of the gods and mercy is far away… We are fighters of the middle, the second act in the three-part MEAT play, AND I WILL WIN BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR!” Krieg remembering his past and how it differs from now.E.(When Raving Retribution is Active.) “I can’t see her anymore… She was so clear and bright… but the blood is in my eyes, and now I can only watch the ocean of blood… Its waves crash against my forehead again and again, AND I JUST NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SURF!” Krieg remembering his wife. (Or Tina.)F.(While Raving Retribution is Active.) “I’m gonna kill you all, I’m gonna kill your friends and your family, I’m gonna track down your grandparents and turn them inside-out, nobody can stop the blood train that will turn your loved ones into a red splatter across the tracks of humanity!” (THE Creeper, and I agree that this quote sounds like he’s coming from a personal experience, like he’s taking out anger from his past.) Conclusion Take this evidence how you will, I hope you enjoyed it. I’d add anything that you see as more evidence.ALSO if you didn’t catch it in one of Krieg’s quotes he hints at Borderlands 3. He also says “The Second act in the three-part MEAT play,” 2nd Part as in second game in the Borderlands Series, and three part as in Borderlands 3. (Or he could be talking about the Pre-Sequel.) @Glue. showed me this. There’s a Krieg skin from the Psycho Madness Pack called “I’LL NEVER GO BACK” Obviously referencing Krieg’s past being in eridium experimentation. Combined with the head, he has a hyperion wanted poster like the one above, on his head. He also has a tatoo showing a prisoner id. This reads 033112, I searched the wikia and couldn’t find the number anywhere else. If you find it somewhere else around the game, it’d be super cool if you could tell me! 😀
