Lakeview Cabin 6 Walkthrough

Overview

This guide will take a in-depth look at the premise of LVC 6, how to complete it with the good ending, how to save all the NPCs of the station, and how to unlock a fifth member for your team. An achievement guide will also be included. This is my first guide and I am sorry for any poor spelling as I am dyslexic.

Objective and Items required to complete the Objective

The premise for LVC 6 is that an Alien Lifeform has infected one of the crew on the space station and it intends to infect and kill everyone on board. Your objective is to find and kill the infection before it has a chance to spread. There are a few items that you will need to complete this objective.
The blood test injection gun.
The Rocket Launcher with at least 2 rockets.
The Grenade Launcher.
This is of course if everything goes to plan as things can go wrong from time to time.
Other important but entirely optional items are of course the keycards. Two of which will allow you to unlock the 5th member of your team and another which unlocks the armory (which is not actually required to gain access to the armory)

Finding and isolating the Infected

Somewhere on the ship one of the NPCs has an alien inside of them. The infected must be found as soon as possible or things will go to hell very very fast. The second the game starts switch to the member with the cap and moustache. You will now be in the CEO’s Office.
From here you can view the two consoles. We select this character because he is the closest to the consoles and he also spawns in a room with a blood test injector.

Open the first console. This is the Blurper. This will help you locate which room the infected is. Right away there is a message from an NPC complaining that he does not feel well or thinks something is wrong. This is our infected. Notice the number before his message. This is the room number he is in. Room numbers on the station are randomized at the start of each round so knowing the number is crucial.

Now check the next console.
This is the map. It will indicate which room you are in and what number it is. Using this with the Blurper we can find the room our infected npc is in. It can be anywhere on the ship apart from the CEO’s office/evac room, the Armory, and the room containing the Cabin. However I have found that most of the time the infected tends to be in either the Bar, the corridor next to the Bar, or the Cafeteria. Now go and grab the injector from the CEO’s office. Notice that it is red (indicates the CEO was infected) pick it up and fire it to clear the tube. It should now be green. Whenever you shoot someone with it (remember you have to be right next to them) it will tell you if they are infected. If it goes from green to red then the person you have shot is infected. Now open the dispenser next to the consoles and dump your injector into it.

Now switch to Parker (the black member of your team) we switch to him because he is on the floor that usually has the infected. Grab the injector from the dispenser and check the map and check the number. If it is not the correct number go to the next room and check that rooms map console until you find the correct room. Once you have found the room and before you start testing everyone in there, go to the Bar and grab a robot along the way (you can leave the injector in the room with the infected).

Robots are very important as they can fix broken switches. There is always a Robot in the corridor next to the Bar. Grab it and bring it to the Bar if you have not found one already. Once inside the Bar go up the ladder and to the left. Here there is a broken switch. Drop the Robot on the switch and it will fix it. Press the switch. Inside there is a Rocket launcher and a Molotov. Sometimes a Key will spawn here too and occasionally an NPC. Take the Rocket launcher, the key (if its there), and the npc out of the room. Leave the Molotov. This is the room where we can isolate our infected. Go back to where you found the infected now.

Test everyone in the room until you have found the infected. You will now need to bring the infected to the room we unlocked inside the Bar and lock them inside. This can be troublesome if your infected is a Marine and not a Scientist. If it is a Scientist simply get him to follow you or pick him up, bring him to the room, chuck him in, and lock the door. Congratulations! You have now isolated the infection and there is no way it can spread across the station.

If your infected was a Marine things will get a bit more complicated. Marines do not like to follow you unless they are scared. You can scare a Marine and get them to follow you by getting naked or make them see an alien (although the later is undesirable as we never want more than 1 alien). There are boxes across the ship where you can take off your clothes. You can also pick up the Marine however you cannot pick them up for long as they will get annoyed and punch you so you drop them. You do not want to pick up an infected Marine apart from it being awkward it will also piss off the alien inside him and he will transform a hell of a lot faster.

I’d suggest never picking up an infected Marine unless they are already inside the Bar. In order to get them up the ladder you will have to pick them up at the bottom of the ladder, climb up a bit and throw them to the above platform. If they begin to turn on the above platform you can no longer pick them up you can however shove them inside the cell just keep running into them.

Once you have the only infected person inside the cell you have basically already won the level. You can use radios that are found throughout the ship to safly remove Aliens from Hosts however be sure to deal with the creature the second it emerges as it will go on to infect others and if you have left the radio on it can infect the same person numerous times without killing the Host thus creating an endless supply of Aliens to deal with.

Evacuating the ship, getting important weapons for the finale

Now that you have isolated the infection by sealing the Alien in the bar its time to start evacuating those men and women aboard the station. As described in the above section you can get Scientists to follow you. To do this simply press the action button on a Scientist to get them to follow you (X on the controller)

You will have to get nude and scare Marines if you want them to follow you. Scaring Marines into following you can be a double edged sword. Once scared, Marines will pick up any weapons they come across and unfortunately they tend to accidentally shoot you (probably due to them being terrified) so you should start evacuating Marines before you open the Armory.

Scared NPCs will run around the station going from room to room so we should keep the Armory locked just incase a scared Marine ends up getting a gun. Once you have Scientists and Marines following you, you must bring them up to the CEO’s Office as this is where the Evac Shuttle is located.

You can place a total of 5 people in the Shuttle before you have to send it off. Once the Shuttle leaves another will dock with the station awaiting its next load of passengers. You will have to pick up the people and drop them next to their seats to get them into the Shuttle
You can only evac people once the Alien has revealed itself and an alarm is triggered throughout the station.

Some people will be at hard to reach places such as a platform in Storage and the Cafeteria. Details on how to get to these locations are below. Sometimes there will be a Marine or Scientist next to the Cryo Chambers in the lab.In order to get up there you will need the blue key. Details on how to get these keys are detailed in the next section.

Whilst you are evacuating the ship you should be picking up items for the final battle (such as Rockets for the Rocket launcher) Use the Dispensers to move items around the station quickly.

There is a total of 4 Rockets on the station. All are relatively easy to get to. They are located inside the Armory, Maintenance, Cafeteria, and Storage. In the Cafeteria you will need 1 other member from your team to get to the rocket. Climb the ladder whilst holding one of your team members and throw them across the gap so they can grab the Rocket.

Do not be afraid to throw the rocket off or drop it. It will not explode unless something hits it or if it is fired from the Launcher. To get the Rocket in the Armory you will need to use the ventilation system. Go to the Living Quarters and enter the vent next to the Toilets.Go all the way to the right and go out the vent.

You will land on the platform in the Armory. Throw the rocket off the edge, Grab the Grenade Launcher and walk off the edge. You can also get to the Armory by rerouting the Lifts by using the consoles in maintenace. The lifts used to get to the Armory are located in the Cafeteria, and the Lab.

To get the Rocket in the Storage room simply use a Robot to repair the button, press it and the ladder will move to the right allowing you to climb up and grab the items.

You should be bringing everything you think you will need up to the CEO’s Office and place them either inside the CEO’s Office above the door or all the way right in the room. You should be placing all weapons in here (Pulse Rifles, Flame thrower, Rocket Launcher, and Grenade Launcher)

In order to beat the game you will need to evacuate at least 10 crew members. In order to unlock achievements you should evacuate all 15 crew members and keep all your team alive until the end.

Keys and Fifth Member

Now that you have sealed the infected in the bar, evacuated everyone (apart from your team) from the station, and have gotten all your items it is now time to use your keys to either unlock the Armory (if need be) and unlock the fifth member of your team.

The Green, Red, and Blue keys tend to spawn in these areas. Cafeteria platform, Storage Platform (you may or may not have to repair the button to get to the key), the Cell in the Bar that we trapped our Infected in (hopefully you will have removed it before chucking the infected inside). Occasionally a key can be found inside the ventilation system. You can get into the vents via the Living Quarters next to the toilets.

The Green Key will unlock the Cabin. This is needed to unlock your fifth member.

The Blue Key will activate the Ladder inside the Lab allowing you access to the Cryo Chambers. This is needed to unlock your fifth member.

The Red Key will unlock the Armory this is entirely optional as you do not need to open the Armory door to gain access to the Armory. The Red Key can occasionally spawn inside the Armory itself. You can get to it via the ventilation system or by rerouting the lifts using maintenance.

Now to unlock your fifth member you will first need to enter the Cabin. Use your Green key on the door (just pick up the key and stand infront of the door). I would recommend bringing in a Flamethrower incase you go too close to the stove in the Cabin as there is an Alien hiding inside the stove.Grab the Purple Teddy Bear and bring it to the lab. Be careful when triggering the Alien inside the Stove as doing so will cause any infected crew members to turn.

Use the Blue key on the Ladder to get it to come down. Bring your Teddy up the ladder and leave it infront of the Cryo Chamber with the redheaded girl inside (this is your fifth member). Go to the left and press the Button this will open the Cryo Chamber.]The girl will freak out but once she comes across the Teddy she will calm down and become the fifth member of your team.

The Finale

Now that you have sealed the infected in the bar, evacuated everyone (apart from your team) from the station, and have gotten all your items, and unlocked your fifth member its time to end the infestation on the ship.

Go to the CEO’s Office and if you want to you can Evac 4 members of your 5 member team. I prefer to do this as I hate looking out for other members whilst in Combat. This is entirely optional.
Prepare this area well. Double check your weapon and ammo stock. You should have at least 2 Rockets, and a Grenade Launcher this is all you need to win. Be sure to place everything as far right as possible as our boss will spawn on the left side of the room. Remove any items in the center of the room (such as the broom) as these can make explosives go off prematurely.

Now grab your Rocket Launcher and load a Rocket into it either by dropping the Launcher on some Rockets or drop Rockets on the Launcher. Now go all the way down to the bar. Its time to kill that Alien we have locked up. Wait for it to go to the left of its cell then open the door. Grab your launcher and blow that sucker up.

The station is now clear and you can Evacuate. Incase something goes wrong on the way up to the CEO Office grab and put on a mask as the boss will spawn small Aliens on occasion. Once you get to the CEO’s Office the boss will be guarding the Shuttle aka the Wife ghost. She now has a physical presence so the second you enter the room go to the right, load up another rocket, move a bit to the left and blow her up (it takes 1 rocket).

She will explode into a pile of blood but its not over yet! Quickly go to the right and pick up your Grenade Launcher. The wife has now mutated into a giant abomination.Unload your grenade launcher on her it should take about 3 shots to down her. DO NOT go near her body as she will explode and the explosion will kill you.
Once she has exploded press the button on the shuttle and jump into a seat on the shuttle.

Congratulations you have now beaten LVC6!

When things go wrong aka when an outbreak occurs

Things can go wrong. Maybe you couldn’t get the infected into the isolated cell fast enough? Maybe a head grew legs and scurried off into the air ducts when you were not looking? Or maybe it was just plain bad luck. Here’s what you can do when an outbreak occurs.

Know your Objective
Your primary goal when an outbreak occurs is to kill all small Alien beasts before they can spread the infection and isolate the crew from Aliens. For example it is not realistic to save everyone once an outbreak occurs. Depending on the floor where the outbreak takes place. If the above floors are compromised it is a good idea to get as many crew members as possible to the room we use as a quarantine in the Bar and seal the door. Or take crew members to Higher platforms as Aliens cannot reach them however scared Crew members tend to run around a lot unless they are on follow so expect them to run off ledges and into the claws of the Alien horde. Evacuate crew members when you can. The less people on the ship the less Aliens you will have to deal with! Lastly chase down every small Alien you see before it matures or gets into an duct!

Know your Enemy
There are 3 types of Aliens not including the boss creature and all behave differently.
Small Aliens. These are created when a person turns into an Alien as they burst out of the victims head and run around with their little tentacles looking for a new host body to attach themselves to. These critters are easily killed. Using fire will kill it quickly as will shots from a Pulse Rifle and beating them to death with Melee weapons however they are fast and will be trying to get into the ducts to move about the station so the second you see one deal with it quickly because 1 will become 2. 2 will become 4 and so on until the whole station is infested. Do not let a single one escape.

Humanoid Aliens. These are what I think happens when a small Alien cannot find a host body. It grows a larger body and becomes more humanoid looking although with a horrifying face and tentacles all over its body. These are slower then their smaller counterparts however they are much stronger, are more resistant to fire and just 1 can use up your entire supply of Pulse Rifles. These creatures cannot enter the ducts however they can change floors at will by break through the ground of station. You will nearly always find large amounts of them in Maintenance once an outbreak occurs. Fire and Melee weapons are your best option for these creatures although be careful not to be overwhelmed when Melee fighting them.

Morphed human bodies are the remains of a person once they have turned. The head detaches and from the neck grows a new Alien head with massive jaws. These creatures are slow and tanky. It takes a lot of fire, and bullets to take one down. Thankfully these morphed bodies are easily dealt with using the Rocket Launcher. 1 shot with a Rocket fired from a launcher will kill the beast. DO NOT throw Rockets at them. It is a waste as sometimes it will not damage them as they will knock them away and it may take 2 hits to kill them just by throwing explosives at them. Primarily you will want to use the Flamethrower or Melee against them as we want to save our explosive for the boss creature. Melee hits should only ever be attempted from behind on these creatures.

Locate where an outbreak occurs.
Usually you can tell when an outbreak occurs by the alarm going off all around the ship and the constant flashing “Evacuate” messages. The alarm is triggered when a person is turning into an Alien. Once an outbreak occurs its always a good idea to leave someone inside the Bridge. The advantage to this is that the bridge contains a small map that highlights areas where fully developed Aliens are present. However there is a draw back to this as the map cannot detect the small Alien creatures that crawl around the air ducts it can only detect large Alien creatures such as morphed human bodies or mature Alien beasts. The map inside the bridge is also mirrored so it does not match up with your map perfectly. So for example on the map in the Bridge it will highlight what looks like the Cafeteria area but it is in fact the Bar area as shown below.

Arm Yourself
Unlock the Armory and equip your team with Flamethrowers and Pulse rifles. These weapons are primarily used to kill the small Alien creatures however Flamethrowers can be used against the big Alien beasts as well. Pulse Rifles do next to nothing against Large Alien beasts. To give some perspective it takes 1 and a quarter Pulse Rifles to kill one mature Alien beast.

Put on a mask
Put on a mask. Wearing a mask stops small Alien creatures from latching onto your face and killing you. If you do not have a mask and find one of the lil critters on your face mash the X button (on the controller) to knock it off!

Hide
Use the many lockers around the station to hide your team members from the Aliens.

Look through cameras
By holding B(on the controller) you can look through doorways to see what is on the other side. Doing so can mean the difference between life and death.

Use the environment
If you hit those red pipes on the ground with an object they will burst into flames creating a firewall barrier and can be a good alternative for your team members without Flamethrowers. You can also quickly travel up and down corridors using the handy hooks on either side of their entrances.

Once you kill them all the boss will come
Remember once the last creature is killed you will summon the boss and if alerted she will teleport around the station to chase you in both of her monstrous forms. Use any explosives you have against the boss.

Robots can be used as weapons
It is a bit hard to pull off but if you pull the sprinkler system and a Robot gets wet it will run around and explode.

TL;DR

Use the map, the blurper, and the blood test injector to find infected
Lock them inside the vip room in the bar
Use this time to evac the crew and gather weapons in CEO office
Kill the infected in the bar once you have everyone evaced and all the items you want.
Use explosives against the boss in CEO Office.

Unlock Fifth member by using green key on Cabin Door to get Teddy Bear
Bring Teddy to Lab
Use Blue Key on Ladder
Open Cryo Pod
Give the panicking girl the Teddy
She will become your Fifth member.

Achievements

To get “All dried up!” all you have to do is run around the station and drink any beer cans you can find. You will also need to order drinks from the Robot at the bar until he runs out of drinks to give you. Just press X (on the controller) on him whenever you can. You will know he dispensed a drink by a sound que he plays.

“Spick-and-span” is another easy achievement to unlock. All you need to do is grab your brush from the floor and hit any stains you find with the brush 3 times to clean them. There is typically 1 found in each room although some rooms will not have stains. The spawning of the stains is random so just check every room you can find and be careful of the corridor next to the bar as stains like to hide behind the plants.

This was already covered in the guide above but in case you missed it all you need to do is rescue the entire station (excluding the infected). The easiest way is to find and lock the infected up in the Bar’s Vip room. This gives you all the time you need to find and evac the remaining crew members.

This was also covered in the guide but if you missed it all you need to do is find the blue and green keys. Use the green key on the cabin go inside and grab the teddy bear. Use the blue key in the lab to drop the ladder down to let you get to the cryo pods. Bring the Teddy up there, drop it, and press the button to release the redhead. She will stop panicking once she gets her Teddy Bear. This will unlock the achievement.

All the masks are scattered across the station. You will need to unlock your fifth team member to unlock this. Simply do the Re-reunited achievement. Here are the mask locations.

Storage – The mask from LVC V on an easy to reach platform. Just go up the ladder
Bridge – New mask for LVC VI aka the gas mask. Its on the ground.
Armory – The same gas mask from the Bridge can be found in here next to the dummies on the far right hand side.
Living Quarters – Mask from LVC III can be found to the right of the door to CEO’s Office/Evac room
Cafeteria – Mask from LVC IV. Easily reachable. Just go up the ladder.
Bar – Mask from the cinema. It is behind the Sign above the Bar.

You will get this for getting the good ending. Just rescue 10 crew members and kill the bosses and have at least 1 of your team make it out alive.

Get the good ending, Save 10 crew members, Kill the bosses, Have all your team survive.

Once you have beaten LVC VI you will unlock this gamemode. You have to kill the crew members in a time limit. I managed to get the score by grabbing the red pipe on the platform in the bridge and just beat everyone to death. You can activate the gamemode by interacting with the billboard in the corridor between the Bridge and the Armory. You can only activate it before any Aliens show up.
