Light Fairytale Episode 1 Achievement Guide [Updated]

Overview

A simple guide for all achievements in the game. Their descriptions are actually really self-explanatory, but you won’t normally have access to them through Steam, so I decided to compile everything with a brief explanation and some screenshots.UPDATE: This guide now includes all achievements added after the initial early access release.

Introduction

Hi there!

In this guide you will find all achievement descriptions and a brief explanation on how to get them. Once you know their descriptions, they’re pretty self-explanatory, but it may be hard to figure it out if you don’t know. You can’t check the descriptions of hidden achievements on Steam, so that’s why I decided to create this guide. Also, since all achievements are hidden, I’ve included spoiler tags in
almost every description and screenshot, you just have to mouse over them to check.

This is my first guide, so it may not look as good as other ones, but I hope it can still prove useful to you :).

All achievements were tested on Haru’s story, and since Kuroko’s was added later, I’m inclined to think that the only achievements that can be achieved in her story are “Alternate journey”, “Achievements cleared!” and all battle-related ones if you didn’t get them in Haru’s story. However, this has not been confirmed.

Dreamer boy

First optional event.

You’ll probably get this naturally throughout the course of the game. The quickest way to get it is trying to go back to the spot you were sleeping after you get control of Haru.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

B-bomb?!

Get a bomb from the hiding cat girl.

You can find her right next to the busy man at the junction. Use the AR googles to see where she is.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Sneaky

Talk to some NPCs from behind.

Talk to this mumbling soldier at the station from behind. If you’re hunting all events, the woman to his left gives a tip about this, there are separate events for when you talk to her before or after talking to the mumbling soldier from behind.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

There you are! (Story-related)

Find hiding Kuroko.

After talking to Kid in the park, Kuroko will hide when you get to the elevator.

You can find her in the alley to the top of the screen.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

That was close!

Almost fall off the cliff.

After talking to Kid in the Park (tip: you can talk to her 3 times before leaving for different dialogue), return to the spot Haru was sleeping at the beginning of the game. There, a female scavenger will tell you to be careful not to fall off the cliff. Ignore her warning and go for it.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Ruled by these guys?!

Overhear the station soldiers talking.

After getting to the city, go to the Station, on the left, where you can find 2 soldiers. Talk to male one, on the left, and attempt to leave. You will overhear a conversation between them (tip: If you’re hunting all events, talk to him from behind first and then normally).

Hover to reveal the screenshots:

Fizzle maniac

Check the fizzle vending machine before the fortune teller event.

Self-explanatory. Just check the vending machine in the first floor as soon as you get to the city. But have in mind that you WILL miss an event that is triggered by not checking the fizzle machine before going to the fortune teller, in case you’re hunting all events. To get both events, you will need to start a new game later or save cheese.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Out of my way!

Talk to the sprinting scavenger.

On the second floor of the city, you should see a scavenger sprinting. Just get in his way and speak to him.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Scary smile…

Talk to angry Kuroko.

Try going back into the pub after leaving it.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

A.R. beginner

Use the A.R. goggles enough before the 1st battle.

If you’ve been using the AR googles a lot to find NPCs with optional events you should be good to go. If you haven’t, walk around the map with it on while searching for side events for a while before going inside the pub and back to the junction for your first battle.

1st win! (Story-related)

Win your first battle.

After going to the pub, go back to the junction to fight your first battle (tip: if you want to get all events in the game, make sure you talk to the busy scavenger and the warehouse guard after the first battle and after clearing all battles)

Don’t anger me

Reach the fury status during battle.

You can’t miss this one. You’re bound to reach fury status at some point during your playthrough.

100+ HP damage

Do a 100+ single HP damage to an enemy.

Critical attacks with Kuroko even early on the game can get you 100+ damage. You will probably get this achievement naturally.

250+ HP damage

Do a 250+ single HP damage to an enemy.

Critical hits with Kuroko’s fury attack can easily get you 250+ damage even at the beginning of the game. These damage achievements depend a lot on RNG, but you should get them naturally throughout the course of the game.

Welcome home!

Check Haru’s place

After your first battle, you will go the Haru’s place. When the cutscene ends, climb the ladder back up and interact with his bed. You could actually go there at the beginning of the game, if you’d like, but the location is kinda hidden and you may not find it at first (I didn’t know I could go there until the characters went there).

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Calculating guy

Get the credits after the fortune teller event.

The fortuneteller will always charge you the exact amount of credits you have in hand. To the right of her tent, there are some credits on the ground; if you take them after visiting her, you will get this achievement.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

My precious…

Check the class 3 A.R. goggles before talking to Daisuke.
When you know the descrition it’s pretty self-explanatory. You can see the red goggles right next to Daisuke.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

“Haru? Haru! Haruuu!”

Get caught during the stealth minigame.

Self-explanatory. If you’re going for 100%, you will probably fail the minigame at some point anyway. If you don’t, just allow yourself to get caught.

High scorers club member

Get a high score of 75+ in the stealth minigame.

Number one

Get a high score of 100+ in the stealth minigame.

Go back and forth between the area Haru is in the screenshot and the one highlighted with L-CTRL (the middle areas), because this way, regardless of what you do, you will earn 10 points if you’re successful (“tight” bonus). If you go to another area immediately after arriving at one, you will earn a “fast” bonus if you’re successful, which doubles the amount of points you would get (nets you 20 points if you get the “tight” bonus too).

After you get these high scores, talk to this guy in the Low Area to receive a prize:

Ex-number one

Get an orb from the ex-number one.

After getting a prize for your high score of 100+, talk to this guy in the left corner of the Low Area. He will give you another prize.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Materialist

Went to the corridor with Miyu’s materials.

After completing Miyu’s request and getting her materials, you get a key to the next area of the game. If you use it to open the door in the screenshot before delivering Miyu’s materials to her, you will earn this achievement.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

The journey begins (Story-related)

Complete the main story in episode 1.

Congratulations, you beat the game!

Childhood Friends

Check the gray duck at the park with Kuroko.

Self-explanatory. Just make sure to have Kuroko on your party when you do it. I recommend doing it before the solders take Kid away. Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Night Rider!

Do better than Kuroko’s high score

When you enter the parts shop, you can notice an arcade to the left of the screen. Interact with it to play the Night Riders minigame.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

You shouldn’t have any problems getting this achievement, it’s pretty easy to do so on your first try. Just follow Kuroko’s instructions and stay on track and grab the plus signs for extra time.

Freebie

Rest during the spiders battles.

You’ll be introduced to the combat of the game at the Junction. There you will find spiders a bunch of times, and the last fight you be against the Spider Queen. In order to unlock this achievement, make sure to go to Haru’s hideout and rest before defeating the Spider Queen, but after defeating at least one wave of spiders. You can check the percentage of battles remaining with the AR goggles.

You can find Haru’s hideout on the way to the park, one screen before it. Go South and climb the stairs to the right.

Hover to reveal screenshots:

Alternate journey

Complete Kuroko’s story.

Congratulations, you beat Kuroko’s story!

Glasses…

Give back Emiko’s credits.

After talking to Daisuke for the first time, Kuroko leaves the party and you can enter the Pub. Go there and you will see a shining item on the ground; pick it up and give it to Emiko. You can’t do that after the soldiers take Kid away, so you should do it as soon as you can.

Hover to reveal the screenshot:

Achievements cleared!

Congratulations, you have perfected the game!
