Overview
Just a quick guide to make Rimworld Behave well on Multiple Monitor setups.
The Issue
I had a bit of trouble earlier and though I would post this to help anyone in a similar situation.
I ran Rimworld in fullscreen, but it placed it on my left monitor instead of the center. Using Windows key + Shift + Right arrow moved it but messed up the UI boxes, the box outlines didn’t match where you clicked. Someone mentioned you could run in windowed mode and it would fix the issue. Well, it did but it left half of a window title bar on the window and I wanted borderless fullscreen window.
How to Configure for Steam
So, go into settings in Rimworld. Untick fullscreen. Set it to your resolution. Quit the program.
Steam users: In the game menu right click rimworld, go into properties, in the general tab, click set launch options and post the following into it, without the quotes “-popupwindow”. That’s it. It may still be in the left window, but Windows+Shift+Right Arrow moves it and all is good in the cosmos.
How to Configure for Non-Steam
Non Steam Users: Make a shortcut for the game. Right click the shortcut and select properties. In that window on the shortcut tab in the box labeled target, put a single space after the path to the .exe followed by “-popupwindow” with no quotes. So it looks like: yourpathhere/RimWOrldWin.exe -popupwindow
Open it and use Windows+Shift+Right Arrow to move to the monitor you want.
