IMPORTANT THINGS
NOTE: -There are 3 types of sprays: 1.Picture spray 2.GIF spray 3. Fading spray(fades from pic 1 to pic 2 based on distance, kinda like hologram)
NOTE2: IF you want to make GIF/fading, in spraygen, don’t use auto-install, use manual install
YOU NEED: The picture(need vtfedit) / GIF(need spraygen, fading sprays are also done with GIF)
You can google the programs easily.
Also note that there may be slightly better methods for fading spray as spraygen doesn’t support just choosing 2 seperate pictures
PICTURE SPRAY
PICTURE SPRAY it can also have transparent parts, and also any shape(aspect ratio)
1.open vtfedit
2.Click on “Import” and select your pic
3.click “save as” and save it as .vtf file
4.Put the saved file into: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogos
5.Also put it in: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogosui
GIF SPRAY / ANIMATED SPRAY
GIF SPRAY
1.open spraygen
2.Click on “Import” and select your GIF
(3.You likely don’t have to change width nor height unless you know what you’re doing)
4.Enable “Transparent Background”, if you don’t there will be a white background so the spray is square
5.Finally click Convert to VTF
6.Put the saved file into: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogos
7.Also put it in: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogosui
FADING SPRAY
FADING SPRAY
1.open spraygen
2.Click on “Import” and select your GIF
-If you have 2 pictures you want to use, you have to put them both in a GIF
3.You have to toggle from “Animated” to “Fading”
4.choose your first frame and second frame
(5.You likely don’t have to change width nor height unless you know what you’re doing)
(6.Enable “Transparent Background”, if you don’t there will be a white background so the spray is square)
7.Finally convert to VTF
8.Put the saved file into: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogos
9.Also put it in: C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogosui
APPLYING THE SPRAY INGAME
NOW that you have converted your desired spray into vtf, you can use it ingame.
To select it:
1.open cs:s
2.go to settings>multiplayer
3.click on “import spray” or whatever it says
4.go to C:Program Files (x86)SteamsteamappscommonCounter-Strike Sourcecstrikematerialsvguilogosui
5.select your spray.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU CHOOSE THE SPRAY IN cstrikematerialsvguilogosui !
DONT CHOOSE THE SPRAY IN cstrikematerialsvguilogos
