So you’ve played through the game. You might have be on several leaderboards. Here’s how to make the game more difficult.
Team Strike
However, the best way to make Team Strike harder is to make a customized character set.
Through trial and error, I have determined that this is the optimal character set:
- Metalface Stealth
- Cobra Assassin
- Stealth Revolution
- Stealth Sniper
- Commando
- Disruptor
Why is this the most difficult? First, every character is a stealth character. This will a) disable auto-aim so you have to time shots really well, b) make teammates and opponents hard to see, c) make your player character hard to see, and d) lower defense/HP levels. In addition, these characters were selected for balance. None of the characters has a good melee option (which often one or two shots enemies) nor are there any decent throwables. The only available throwables are hack grenades, flashbangs, and nitrogen grenades, all of which are extremely unreliable and obnoxious.
In sum, this makes the game far more volatile, and it is incredibly easy to blow a 3 or 4 round lead.
Waves Survival
Most of the Waves Survival maps offer way too many luxuries like shields and advanced weapons. I have developed several challenges to mitigate this.
“Sticks and Stones” – Only allowed to use melee weapons and throwables except no time weapons and no companion throwables.
“Big Iron” – Only allowed to use the Slugger Revolver or fists. No throwables, no reflect shield belt.
“Scavenger” – Not allowed to use shops.
“Time Cop” – Only allowed to use Matter Police, time-based throwables, and the Chrono suit.
“Scarface” – Only allowed to use grenade launcher and rocket weapons. No throwables.
