Bloons TD Battles Guide

Making the Ultimate Loadout for Bloons TD Battles

Making the Ultimate Loadout

Overview

A helpful checklist for ridding your loadout of weaknesses.

Why should I care about my loadout?

Because it matters.

Ever had that moment when you suddenly see a clump of camo ceramics coming your way and all you have is a cannon, a bloonchipper, and a tack shooter?

Yeah, this guide here is supposed to help you avoid those scenarios.

Read on.

Making a Loadout

First of all, the simplest part, make sure your loadout has at least one tower of each that can:

  • Detect camo and pop lead
  • Pop mobs of bloons quickly
  • Deal with fast bloons effectively
  • Deal extra damage vs blimps

Depending on your strategy, you might not need to meet all of the requirements above. For example, if your tactic is to put a few towers, save up money, then send squads of regrow rainbow, you might not need an anti-blimp since your opponent might not survive till then.

Cards (Strengths and Weaknesses)

Make sure your cards compliment each other and fill in each other’s weaknesses.

COBRA

Pros:
Looks cool.
Has numerous unique abilities (stacked up attrition is op).
Cons:
Terrible at crowd control and defense in general.
Can’t detect camo or pop lead.
More of a offensive support tower.
-Great abilities, but horrible defense. If you’re planning to fight MOABs with a squad of monkey agents, think twice before trying (and failing).

Dart Monkey

Pros:
Cheap and detects camo.
Can pop lead and even camo lead if tier 4.
Cons:
Bad at crowd control, so easily overwhelmed.
Unless placed well, juggernauts won’t do much.
-Good for starting, but not very good during higher waves.

Tack Shooter

Pros:
Pops bloons?
Relatively cheap??
Cons:
Can’t detect camo.
Only tier 4 can pop lead.
Tiny range.
-DON’T USE THIS
DON’T USE THIS
DON’T USE THIS

Ninja Monkey

Pros:
$250 for an aimbotting ninja.
Fast and deadly.
Can detect camo, too.
Awesome anti-bloon ability.
Cons:
Bad at crowd control.
Needs tier 3 upgrade to pop lead.
-Good for beginners, since it’s a starter tower.

Bomb Tower

Pros:
Tier 1 can pop lead.
Tier 3 deals extra damage against blimps.
Tier 4 DESTROYS a blimp.
Decent crowd control.
Cons:
Can’t detect camo.
Slow firing speed.
-If you aren’t planning on a rush before Round 19, then a tier 3 bomb tower may be just what you need.

Sniper Monkey

Pros:
Can detect camo and pop lead.
Deals heavy damage.
Tier 3 can pop a ceramic in one shot.
Tier 4 can cripple blimps.
Can shoot bloons ANYWHERE (infinite range).
Cons:
Slow firing speed. Really slow.
TERRIBLE crowd control.
-Good for anti-blimps and ceramics. I recommend you set its target to “Strong” instead of “First” so that it’ll shoot for the ceramics instead for the reds.

Boomerang Thrower

Pros:
Can pop lead.
If placed strategically, can pop a lot of bloons at once (even if not in a straight line).
Tier 3 is great for crowd control.
Cons:
Only tier 4 can detect camo, and even then it only pops camo if placed well.
-Depends on placement.

Monkey Apprentice

Pros:
Tier 1 can pop lead.
Can detect camo.
Decent crowd control.
Cons:
Can still be overwhelmed.
-Personal favorite. Pop lead, shoot camo, and peel layers off an entire row of bloons…all at once!

Monkey Buccaneer

Pros:
Can detect camo.
Large range.
Tier 3 shoots super duper fast.
Tier 4 can DESTROY a blimp.
Cons:
Needs tier 3 upgrade to pop lead.
Can only be placed in water.
-Another personal favorite, but only if it’s tier 3 or higher. Otherwise it can’t pop lead, and isn’t very good at crowd control.

Spike Factory

Pros:
Waste energy on red-hot spikes no longer!
Can pop lead.
Pops camo.
Great as backup defense.
Tier 3 deals extra damage to blimps.
Cons:
Easily overwhelmed.
Slow production.
-I saw some guy try using nothing but this tower. I won so easily it’s not even funny.

Glue Gunner

Pros:
Slows down bloons.
Can pop lead.
Cons:
Can’t detect camo.
Terrible at crowd control unless you buy the expensive (2000 something dollars) upgrade for glue splattering.
-You need that pricely upgrade for it to be any use.

Ice Tower

Pros:
Freezes and even pops bloons.
Tier 3 slows down bloons in a large area.
Relatively cheap.
Cons:
Tiny range.
Slow firing speed.
-Okay as support. Tier 3 makes it so much better, but costs $6500.

TO BE CONTINUED…
or not, seeing as how I’m a bit too lazy for my own good

End

So yeah, make sure at least one of your towers can detect and destroy camo lead and crowds of balloons. That’s basically the point of this.
